The Spring of Dragon Movies · 3:43am Apr 11th, 2021
Having taken a week off from work, I took the opportunity to watch the dragon-centric movies of the spring, Kong vs Godzilla and Raya and the Last Dragon. Both great movies that I highly recommend. KvG is thrill ride that stomps on the gas and just keeps pushing until it hits the metal in the climax. I just wish they could have done more with the character Maia; seeing the kaiju up close in action took a much needed weed wacker to her ego, and she showed signs of coming to care about her teammates, but in the end she was simply a greedy, backstabbing villain to got a grusome death after betraying the heroes. A real waste.
As for RATLD, while I feel that it doesn't have quite the same impact as othe Pixar movies, it was still a fun and heartfelt experience. I would have preferred, however, that the ending had been a liitle more bitter-sweet than outright happy. Rather than bringing the first protagonist to get killed back to life immediately, I think it would have been better if there had simply been signs that she could be brought back, setting up a new quest for the heroes to embark on and a potential sequel.
raya is not a pixar movie its a regular disney film
Godzilla vs Kong was awesome! It acted as everything the Monsterverse had been leading up to for 7 years, and it certainly did a great job.

Ah, I stand corrected. I guess I've developed a habit of assuming that all CGI Disney movies were made by Pixar.
so question about raya for ya
do you ship raya with namari

From the moment young Namari brushed her hair to the side while chatting with young Raya. You only do that for someone special.
