Feathered Hearts - Continuation and Chronicles will launch on Sunday · 2:43am Mar 20th, 2021
The all-new chapter is draft complete and getting rave reviews from my prereaders. I promised a lore dump, and readers are going to get it in spades. I do believe these 9200 words will be the first new content on the Feathered Heart story in... [checks] nearly five years.
The story will be titled Feathered Hearts - Continuation and Chronicles to represent that it will contain not just the eventual continuation, but bonus material that fits between earlier chapters--that's the "Chronicles" part of it. I still have to make the story page and conduct a couple editing passes, listening to it recited back to me by the site's voice narration function before I'll call it ready.
And yes, that's Feathered Hearts, plural. The reason should be clear enough upon reading the new chapter. 
I said I would release a teaser, but reading through it now, I'm just not seeing anything that makes a natural one. Like I said in the previous blog, it's a bonus chapter placed between chapters 3 and 4 of the original story, in a gap of time the original story contained between the attack on Chris/Marco at the end of chapter 3/everyone watching Braveheart at the start of chapter 4.
That said, it assumes the content of the edited chapters, so you'll see Gilda referred to by the rank I'm using for her--Decurion. You will also see my Firefly lore showcased heavily, along with some other lore I came up with on the fly. But I think it all works. Feathered Heart inspired Firefly, which heavily draws on its griffon lore, so as far as I'm concerned, I'm just repaying the debt.
The new story will launch on Sunday morning. So, you are cordially invited to read and rejoin the Feathered Heart saga. This will be the first of many new--and more edited--chapters to come, and I hope it will rekindle interest in the story from old and new readers alike.

Maybe a certain mage is getting an expanded role? Whatever it is, I look forward to finding out!
It might be useful to post a link on the Feathered Heart comment section on release day, along with a mass reply to recent commenters, so that they might know as well.

I was told that I can post the continuation, but I cannot post old chapters, no matter how much I edited or rewrote them. My only option there was to rewrite the entire story, which I'm not going to do. I would consider that more disrespectful to DEL than simply updating what he has.
