My Dad got the Covid Vaccination · 7:08pm Feb 14th, 2021
And he's coughing a lot...
I'm not worried about catching it. I'm worried about him coming down with it and then Mom.
This whole pandemic has put a lot of things into perspective, a lot of fears I've tried to push aside to light, and it made me remember the comic from this old blog post.
I love my parents dearly. The thought of being without them terrifies me to no end. I've felt like crying lately, at the thought of losing them, because a lot of their friends are in the hospital, because a few have even passed away from this pandemic. Because Estee lost their Mom. Because it hurts to think about, because I know it'll happen and I just don't want to think about it anymore ;_;
Sorry if I let my morbidness mess up your day. I just...I had to say something, or I'd just explode...
Darn it... And it's Valentine's Day today too ;_;
Showing symptoms after getting vaccinated can be a good sign. You want the body to have an immune response so it can fight of future exposure to the virus. That said, I hope your dad bounces back quickly.

I'm a lot calmer now compared to four hours ago, though the worry is still there, just waiting for another opportunity to rear its head.
Also, be of good cheer: the fragmented nature of the vaccine should make it impossible for him to actually catch the nasty stuff.
So, even though his body is reacting as though it’s being invaded, in theory it’s just responding to certain inert pieces of the virus. So, while caution is always appropriate (after all, theoretically the bod could always cause problems by overreacting), he should be in no actual danger.
