And now, having crawled though the long, dark night of November, I emerge blinking into the ... um ... slightly longer but less obsessive night of December.

Triumphant.

That's 50,000 sweet, sweet words of fiction. Of pony fiction. That means some holiday-season goodies for you!

Here's a look at the word-count breakdown, in rough order of which projects you're going to see posted first:

(2500) The Lotus Eaters (In Final Editing) - A series of short vignettes about ponies who take a chance to live a more perfect life. In the "No Regrets" continuity, but not really related, so it'll go up as its own story.

(14000) Social Lubricant (Back from Prereaders) - The Mane Six get totally wasted at an adult slumber party and start discussing prurient topics. (Oh so very Mature-rated, but no actual clop.)

(5000) Princess Luna Picks Up Hitchhikers (Awaiting Prereading) - The next chapter! And half of the third!

(19000) Codename Haylander: The One Not Set In Ancient History (7 chapters ready for prereading) - The modern side of Haylander: Origins (which I've teased here several times - but the non-prequel needs to get written first, I think). Pony x Highlander crossover in which Equestrian immortals face off by Highlander rules. All Twilight Sparkle wanted was stop Nightmare Moon from blanketing Equestria in eternal night. She charged with her friends into the Everfree Forest. Then she died. Then things got interesting.

(3000) Codename Second Person (Nearly Done) - Second-person you-visit-Equestria clop. ... What? Don't give me that look. If someone needs to get f*cked around here, it might as well be the narrator-reader-protagonist distinction.

(1500) Codename Finding Solus (In Progress) - Celestia unexpectedly meets the dragon who once was her faithful assistant, after the most painful decision of her life. Meant as clop, but it's not to that point yet. I may or may not veer it away from that endpoint.

(5000) Various Projects - Abortive starts at short stories that didn't pan out; writer's-block busters; and other fiction that will never see the light of day.

And now that I've got time to come up for breath, I'm going to call a writing moratorium for a week or so. I've got to get some Torchlight 2 in, catch up on Season 3, and bear down on editing the stories that are back from prereading. Yay!
