I found a grimdark gorefic that was surprisingly well written. There's a lot of gore though and I'm thoroughly terrified. But it is amazing in its description.

I know, but there's other more debilitating factors at play here, it's not necessarily a sense of lost individuality, but more of a gender thing, a "finding my place in the world" kinda thing, a cheesy movie plot, basically.

What kind of life do you have? Is it like a chat show, where you're the host and the special guests talk about themselves and various issues they have with the world? Are you stuck in an action-packed movie with five plot twists a month? Either way, you'll probably be going about your daily life, and maybe you'll be on a journey somewhere, and then you'll have this massive epiphany where all of those questions about your life are answered at once. Unfortunately for me, I only get these answers one at a time. Then again, I don't particularly want any more hits-you-like-a-bus plot twists. I've had more than my fair share.
The point is, though, you will find out where your place is. One of those places is the Ponynet. Now you just have to work out what other pieces your piece of the jigsaw is connected to. It takes time, but it will happen. Lucky guess: you will know everything you need to before June. If you don't, I owe you 1 pony fanfic.
