--The * hints to the fact that the word count might not be quite right this week. I worked on almost every single chapter, but every chapter except an addition to 4, and 8 and 9 were done on the doc. I take the word count from Scrivner. Due to my current computer limitations, I didn't move the doc changes to Scrivner. I'll fix it before next week.
Which leads me into my first bit of news: I'm officially able to go home this week! Saturday I take the too-damn-long car ride back to Chicago and my computer. And my own bed. 31 days ago I rolled into my parents house in KC and realized I left my favorite pillow back in Chicago. Little did I know I wouldn't have it for a goddamn month. It doesn't sound like much, but it's just been one more thing I wish I'd had during this Quarantinemas.
My quarantine is officially over after today, so I don't know how much writing will be done this week. I won't go visit grandparents (one of whom decided to call me on Christmas to inform me she didn't want to see me this trip), but I do have some outdoor plans with a couple of friends who love me more than they fear the mighty Covid, so I'll probably be fairly busy, Next week I have to get caught up on DnD stuff I wasn't able to do here (RE: shitty laptop), but I'll try to get something done.
Maybe I'll drop that preview next week, if people ask nicely.Nobody ever talks to me here...
