HELLO, internet darlings!

So I didn't write all December and was barely on the site at all. Without getting into details it was a tough month in general on a few levels – nothing really serious, just the usual crap intensifying for most of the month – and I got quite stressed out. Something had to give, so it was doing anything creative. The time I normally use to write was, when actually available, spent instead watching old episodes of GCCX (Kacho on!), which is a good thing to zone out to when you're seriously not feeling it. But it's a new year and I need to get it together! *slaps knees* Right now I'm watching "Whisper of the Heart" in an effort to get my mojo back – it's my favourite Studio Ghibli movie, even if it's not exactly action-packed, and it's a cartoon romance about ~artistic inspiration~ and I'm into that, what can I say? 😊 I haven't watched it in years and it seems to be working, which is good.

Thanks for bearing with me and I promise, to myself and to anyone keeping up with my crap, to deliver more pony/dragon squishiness soon! Attack me with hammers if January goes by without an SSME update 🙇‍♂️

"Whisper of The heart" is amazing movie. While I enjoy the more action-oriented Ghibli flicks, this one is just wholesome and calming.

Yeah, it's a nice, emotional movie that focuses on the little naturalistic details, and is about feeling the fear and having the courage to do it anyway, and that's enough. Not that I don't love some of the other, more actiony Ghibli classics (Hell, I really need to rewatch "Laputa: The Castle in the Sky" sometime) but some people I know dismiss it as boring, and, well, there's no accounting for taste I guess!
