A few Royal Guards looked around, terrified. “What the fuck was that?!” one of them asked.
“How the hell I am supposed to know?!” another shot back, raising his crossbow up to the darkness.
They’d been sent to investigate a series of disappearances in a nearby village. They hadn’t found any thing of the victims, but they had found the culprit. And monster built of only darkness. The true form of evil. A reincarnation of Hell itself. A guard backed up into a corner, where a blue blade slit his throat. And it was a big slit. The guard stepped out of the darkness, holding his hoof out to the other guards, who yelped at their brethren’s throat. The guard collapsed, and with it, his head rolling over to their hooves like a hoofball. They looked up to see the creature, an evil grin on it’s face. Before they could raise their weapons, a set of blue tendrils shot out, stabbing four guards in the neck, ripping their pharynges out. An unreformed changeling with blue fangs stepped out, shoving the pharynges into his mouth.
“Mm... pharynges... my favorite.”
The guards screamed, shooting their crossbows. The creature created blue blades, cutting and deflecting the arrows. He then rushed them, fangs bared. He lunged at one of the guards, pinning them down and ravaging him. He looked up, licking his muzzle. He then grabbed a guard and buried his fangs into the side of the pony’s neck, ripping a chuck of flesh from it, before swallowing it. Two guards rushed him with knives. The tendrils emerged from his back, ripping the knives from the ponies’ magic. The creature grabbed a guard and pried his jaw open and shoved the knives down his throat. He grabbed the other guard and twisted his hoof, before bring his own hoof down and snapping the guard’s hoof like a twig. The pony howled before the creature shoved a tendril down his throat and ripped his lung out through his mouth. He shoved it down his gullet, then turned to the last guard. The pony turned to a window, running towards it in an attempt to escape. A tendril ran straight through his chest just as he made it out, before yanking him back in. The guard’s final screams filled the village as the creature slowly and painfully ravaged and consumed him.
