Here's some ideas for potential fics I may or may not be writing in the foreseeable future, that is, ideas that I've actually thought about and developed somewhat in my head.
Luna fic
I can't decide between a serious character study of the night princess and her regrets of Nightmare Moon, or a satirical fic that mocks all of the Luna sadfics on this site. Or maybe a combination of the two.
Time loop fic
I've had this one in the back burner since 2014! It's a neat premise that I'm pretty interested in, and it'd have a twist which would (hopefully) make it stand out from all the other time loop stories. Just can't decide on who the main character should be.
Elements of Honor remake
Remake of my first novel-length story (not a remake in the sense of merely better grammar, but full-on different scenes, plot points, dialogue, characterization, etc, just with the same overarching plot). I actually starting writing this last year, got a few thousand words in, then sorta quit. I have no idea if I'll ever come back to it.
An economics/business fic
AU fic wherein a group of contestants compete to become the next alicorn, which is determined by whoever can open up and maintain the most successful business. Seems kinda fun and original, but very out there. Also, my major is economics, so I can use this to shamelessly proselytize about the virtues of free market capitalism.
All-OC fic
Once my current one is finished, I've already considered starting a new one. This would take place thousands of years in the past before Celestia, in a historical Equestria, so to speak. Would be very long and full of adventure, war, violence, twists, and complex characters.
