After Halloween Update · 10:49pm Nov 6th, 2020
Happy Post Halloween friends! To any who read my story during the season, thank you. It was a lengthy process, and I'm quite proud of how it turned out, regardless of the recognition. But today's subject will be about a story everyone has kept clamoring about over the years. The one that's probably my most popular and most requested for continuation.
Throes of Winter:
Y'know, every time I come back to this story, I always have a different opinion on its state. When it was first drafted, and I had its original plot, I was excited to plan and write everything. As years grew longer and I got older and wiser, my passion for MLP dwindled as the seasons got repetitive and stale for me. It got to the point I didn't want anything more to do with the story but wanted it to continue with someone better at writing than me.
But many people came to me, talking about how interesting my writing was for Sombra and his tale of possible redemption against the monstrous caribou and their tyrannical ruler.
And, after long consideration and a bit more thinking, I think I found a spark of inspiration bright enough to end this story.
So after taking this month to edit and rewrite the existing chapters, I will conclude Throes of Winter with one final chapter to wrap up. Here's what you can expect to happen;
* All Chapters will be under Rewriting In Progress. This means that they will be edited to polish out grammar, needless text, and any elements I think should be fleshed out more or reworded (Mostly around Oona Ewe since she's an entirely different character than before now). If the tag isn't there, that means I've completed my edits. Feel free to look back at it and comment!
* The chapter's main focus will be building up to the climactic battle against Sombra and Dainn.
* No romance sex. At the time, it was fitting given the universe, and the plan was to have Sombra bed all the mane six, but I rather end this a little more seriously. May write a new story down the road where it's just that. But expect at least a few descriptions about the misogyny of the caribou.
* The aimed release date will be December 25th, marking five years since the first chapter. A fitting end.
* Hopefully, a satisfying ending as we close this story.
* New self-drawn cover art~
That's all I give for now regarding the story. Once more, I'd like to thank everyone who stuck with this tale for so long and encouraged me to keep going. And to the nosey person who keeps spamming me about any future chapters? There you go! Now kindly fuck off.
The Future:
Plans aren't looking as solid this time around. I think I've found more enjoyment in editing and adding to other people's work and ideas than submitting my own, funny enough. But that doesn't mean I won't have a story to share. In fact, I have a few I'd like to have published next year;
- A Knight's Undoing: Hoping to conclude that series as well, aiming to post the next chapter by Valentine's Day (Along with another saucy fic including Cadance.) and the last remaining chapters by the start of spring.
- The Book of Ewe: This will be the official guidebook that explains much of Lady Ewe's origins, the characters from her universe, and the stories. Some of them make appearances in Dr.Sharaz Jek's works so go read up on their stories to see! No date is planned at the moment.
- Dream a little, Dream of Me: After Ewe's backstory is properly published, I plan on doing a special fic based on my request story by Ekhidna. The premise is that Oona enters the dreams of Original Character's to aid them... Mostly by living out their chosen fetishes. If you have a character you'd like to add, please DM me, and I'll get back to you when the time comes for detail. No planned date for this one, either.
- Sequal/Spin-Off of NotLC: Not sure what I want to do for this one yet. We shall see!
Other than that, Most of my time will be spent proofreading and editing other's works. My schedule may be busy for a while as I have a few people wanting me to go over their tales and add something that might fit better. But I'm free to listen and add it for later if you're patient enough c:
That's all for now. Keep safe, and I hope you all make through the last stretch of 2020!
Good luck, looking forward to your work as always!
