Despite the damage the vessel has suffered(and continues to suffer), Dan, for whatever reason, seems very attached to the Danfiant. His first spaceship, the modified Miranda-class light cruiser has seen quite a lot of action since being summoned to Equestria. Dan first captured the vessel from Gust Grasp during his fleet's attempted plundering of Ponyville, with help from his friends and Prince Blueblood. He ordered that the ship be repaired to full functionality, including its cloaking device, so that he could use it as a secret weapon against Vice Grip.
Starfleet made contact with Equestria(through unofficial channels) following Dan's defeat of Vice Grip. The Federation thanked Dan for his 'unofficial' test of the Genesis MK-2 device and, in exchange for all the data regarding the project and the return of its original crew, they allowed him to keep the vessel as a show of good faith. Again, unofficially. Starfleet's Corps of Engineers even sent Dan new schematics and instructions for upgrading the Danfiant. Until then, Dan had been using several model-building guide books to reconstruct the ship.
The nacelles of the Danfiant were reattached, repaired and reinforced following the assault on the moon base. As a critical part of the ship's travel and power generation, the nacelles are now sturdier and more heavily-armored, allowing them to withstand more stress while still working. Extra impulse drives have even been added to the nacelles to give the ship more maneuverability, especially in combat. The ship can now reach faster speeds both at impulse and at warp, as well as make sharper turns and even reverse faster than other vessels.
An additional deflector dish was added to the weapons pod atop the rollbar, designed to further aid the ship in travel. Other upgrades were made to the sensors, communications and navigations systems. Although some thought it prudent to encourage Dan to only upgrade the non-combat-related systems on the ship, wiser members of Starfleet's security board knew that if they didn't give Dan better weapons, he'd just make his own anyway. As such, the ship's phasers were enhanced to modern Starfleet standards and the ship was supplied with a set of quantum torpedoes.
Dan took it upon himself and his team to install all these new upgrades using parts from the Pone Depot home shopping catalogue. The ship's hull and interior structure were also reinforced, with supplemental armor added and cargo and carrying capacity extended. The cloaking device, however, has not been fully repaired as Dan attempted on two separate occasions to use it to make jambalaya "the old-fashioned way" nearly destroying the ship. Finally, the ship's warp core has been upgraded to be more stable and efficient. Dan attempted to see what happens when you put things inside the warp core; first a batch of Totino's Taki Pizza Rolls and then Gust Grasp when he annoyed him.
Finally, Dan painted the ship black himself because why the fuck not.
With the threat of the Terran Empire increasing, Dan is planning further upgrades and modifications to the Danfiant, including ramming spikes attached to the bow, more phasers, and a hood ornament that looks like a middle finger. Against the full might of the Terran Empire, they need every advantage they can get, no matter how silly and immature it may seem.

Starting to look like a Bird Of Prey?
So many variations for Ram. Of course, mastiest is the Hidden Ram. becauase its deployable, it remains within defenses and manouverability envelope until its deployed, and because its deployable, its extremely deployable, like a bee sting, or more like something else the bee injects and leaves behind, bringing so much suprise to the recipient.
A Deployable ram would also be suplied and maintained through containing the immediate stores for 10 forward, thereby on hitting anything, deploying a veritable cornucopia of combat culinary chaos on the target?

Made a slight adjustment. The primary hull and saucer section have been upgraded from a base Miranda-class to Soyuz-class. Extra armor has been added to the bridge and an additional shuttle and cargo bay has been added to the aft section.

A close second would be Shackleton Class?

The BASE is a Soyuz-class, which took its design from the Miranda-class. It's just the BASE, though.
