Hello all, hope you're having a great spooky month.
The Centurion Project had a new chapter Monday (The Crystal Empire Part 2) so if you haven't yet seen that, go give it a read. I've started work on the next chapter, and I hope to have it out within two weeks (since it is a much shorter chapter, this should be a more realistic goal for me)
The real purpose of this blog though, was to announce the release of my other big project; Realms of Magic. This is a high fantasy type story, with very traditional D&D characters/worldbuilding. I've actually started, stopped, and rewritten this story a number of times, with the original edition being written in 2012. My writing has vastly improved since then, and while the original full length story was approximately 50k words, the current version's first 6 chapters are equal to that much. How do I know? Because those chapters have been written! I will be releasing a chapter in ROM every other day until Halloween, at which point I will put it on a once a month release schedule, so that I can devote full focus on CP and other side projects that strike my fancy. Additionally, this story is going to be another experiment, in that, this is the one where I "get it right". I fully understand that CP has many flaws and mistakes, but I am hoping that ROM, with a much simpler concept, and an easier to write protagonist, will not have these same mistakes, but only time will tell. Finally, when I can place full focus on the story, the chapters should be easier to produce, as I’m not holding ROM to the same word count standards, and am instead ending the chapters where they feel natural to end.
Overall, I hope you all enjoy, because I sure as hell love writing on both these stories!
