Grogar's 'wonder weapon' in Pony POV Series · 1:00am Oct 17th, 2020

In the Pony POV Series, the Gizmonks were willfully assimilated into Grogar's massive City-State of Tambelon, and they would produce many 'wonder weapons' for their new master.

However, the most terrifying of Grogar's weapons, in the Reharmonied and Dark World and Variety Show timelines, was something even beyond their abilities, but also combined with Grogar's own magic and vast intellect and power.

He created the Anti-Elements.
They are NOT the Element of Chaos in opposition to the Elements of Harmony, they were explicitly created to stand in opposition to BOTH.

Also, Grogar eliminated several 'weaknesses' of both sets:
If any of the holders of the The Anti-Elements falls, it can be simply given to a new one. AND! If the Anti-Element object itself is destroyed, they can simply make a new one, (though only one of each can exist at a time, and it takes time to remake it). The users themselves DO NOT need to share any real common bond to use them.

While the Elements of Chaos can morph into a weapon, and the Elements of Harmony into barding, the Anti-Elements form what is basically mini-mech armor around the user.

They exist but for one purpose, to negate and cancel out the powers of both sets of Elements: basically imagine a cross between the anti-persona squad Longinus 13 from the game Persona 2: Innocent Sin, and the parasitic swords the Bakkōtō from the anime Bleach and you'll have an idea.

While the Elements exist as a ying-yang, opposites that existence to balance each other, the Anti-Elements exist in a gray area between the two.

It's important to note that Grogar was NOT trying to build a concrete philosophical truth when he created the Anti-Elements, he simply sought traits and virtues that would effective counter measures to both sets of Elements. Ironically much like the Elements themselves, the philosophical aspects the Anti-Elements represent shouldn't be automatically assumed to be evil (or good).

They are as much propaganda weapons as counter-measures to Equestria's strongest defense. While the Chaos and Harmony Elements were supposed to exist to balance each other, the Anti-Elements were made in mockery of both.

Due to their design, they're intended to be as dangerous to Alicorns and Draconequi as the opposing Element sets are... thankfully Grogar found out that he could only create one set at a time, as any attempts to make back-ups or extras before the current one was no more would simply fail to happen. Though there were at least one Alicorn and one Draconequus who could at least resist ...

Given the mini-mech armor completely covers the user, this creates the unspoken impression that the Anti-Element Knights are consistent, this isn't true and nor is it lied about, but people see and hear the exact same knights at a glance, and this creates a sense of invincibility while the identified faces of Equestria's heroes when injuries or defeated do not.

Knight of Science, the middle ground to both Tragedy and Friendship

Knight Economics, middle ground of Greedy and Generosity

Knight of Calm, middle ground of Anger and Laughter

Knight of Logistics, middle ground of Kindness and Cruelty

Knight of Logic, middle ground of Trust and Despair

Knight of Rumor, middle ground of Honesty and Deceit

Knight Opportunity, middle ground of Loyalty and Free Will

Interesting. Thanks for the info.

This is fannon of fannon if that makes any sense. Since it doesn't appear anywhere in the story proper. This is just my idea for stuff that comes after.

Ah, the legend rule. Some things are just too unique to duplicate. Probably some amber or opal in the design. :raritywink:

Fascinating concept. I'd never considered "Elements of Neutrality" opposed to both Harmony and Chaos. Harmony as a balancing force between Order and Chaos, yes, but not this. Very cool stuff.

Here, neutrality is NOT meant to be a good thing. It's not a happy medium but a lifeless grayness.
