For my birthday, I watched the world burn. · 3:43pm Sep 13th, 2020
So, I'd be surprised if anyone knew this, but my birthday was last week. Thursday, on World Suicide Prevention day (the irony is not lost). Anyway, so my birthday was last week, and I currently live on the west coast, were everything is burning. And I mean EVERYTHING is burning. One of my cousins who lives a few hours away spent the entire week on a level 2 fire evacuation warning, for instance.
Meanwhile, on my end, while I'm (currently) 100-200 miles away from the fires (where I will be for school is much closer), the world is no less apocalyptic. On wednesday, I took a picture of the outside world on my front porch, and while every day since has looked better, this still gives me the full 2020 apocalyptic vibes.
There are other pictures that exist, such as the red sky with the UPS truck, which is honestly insane and so flipping metal, but those are about two hours away (and aren't mine). Anyway, toxic ashy air aside...
NFL FOOTBALL STARTS TODAY, which means I'll hopefully be getting back into the swing of... everything. School starts up in two weeks, I head back on Saturday, so hopefully I will be starting up writing again.
That being said, the one story (not Yu Yu Hakusho) is almost finished- I'm just kinda... stuck. I'm actually at the ending, but I need a few pre-readers to determine if the idea is actually... good? Basically, I need someone to stroke my ego. That being said, I'd also like suggestions on the format of it as well since the formatting is so ... unique/different/odd.
Lastly, I want to shill something. A few days ago I discovered two mini music fan made videos an artist did with their original characters. The character designs are some of my favorite designs with any characters that don't exist in an official entertainment medium... And, these character designs help finalized one of the story ideas I've been playing with for years- a Flying Witch crossover... with Sunset meeting the human/witch Sunset, and being thrown into the human's world of magic along with everything on the other side.
