The last research paper I worked on has published at last.

The process is REALLY slow. I finished all my work on this 3 years ago.

This one uses a lot of my histology and in-situ hybridization with RNAscope results.

But no more science for me. Now I build houses and driveways... and rip them apart too! It's a sort of yin-yang thing I've got going here.

A comedic scene from a new Clouseua story I'm fiddling with...

I just came up with this, and imagining Peter Sellers delivering the line had me laughing for 5 minutes straight.

Clouseau, "For you see, the murderer was... the bullet!"

    Guy in room, "The bullet?"

Clouseau, "Of course, no one would suspect the bullet of firing itself!"

Woman in room, "But that... that's madness!"

THE PIRATE KING BREAKS THE NETFLIX ANIME ADAPTATION CURSE!!!

Only the Pirate King could do it...

It's as good as possible. You cannot do such a goofy anime any better than this, and it's GREAT! I friggin LOVED it.

Last call for Bronycon items up on Ebay!

I'll be delisting all remaining MLP items Sept 1st to focus entirely on selling my huge stash of collectible magazines, which take up vastly more space than the MLP items. Everything here fits into a single flat box I can pick up with one hand. The magazines... weigh over 700 lbs total. Sooooo, kinda makes sense to deal with those ASAP!

https://m.

you know what the weird thing is: king of the hill is really popular in japan

Yeah, I found that a few weeks ago, and many lulz were had.

...
Ah.
Well.
This... appears to be a thing that I just watched! And that therefore exists.
...
Yup.

...Huh.
I'm not sure if learning that makes this more or less weird...
Thanks, though?

5345118 I like that the Tree of Life diagram was replaced with the chemical structure of propane and there's 'Project C3H8'.

High-level lulz. Mad high IQ of 189 stuff.

5345614
Same. I thought it was hilarious when I realized they didn't half-ass the whole thing.

that little tidbit gets even better: apparently Cotton is amongst the more popular characters.:twilightoops:

I can't decide if that's a good thing or a bad one, to be honest. Gives a insight to the Japanese sense of humor. Also I want to meet the man who did Boomhauer voice in the japanese dub. Like, he looked at the script, put it down, took of his glasses and said "Fuck that."

[looks up]
...Huh. Again. Well, alright then! :D

5346024 Cotton is the best character ever.

:trollestia:

By most accounts, he apparently reminds them of either a relative or some older person they know, and from what I've seen they don't mean that as a disparagement. Of course quite a few of the older generation volunteered to work in radioactive areas to spare the younger, so I imagine at that point you can slap as many butts as you want (and before anyone complains, it was a joke. I suspect its less what he says then how he acts that resonates, namely as all bluster and bark then any general malice.)

But characters like him were always popular until recently. Archie Bunker, Fred Sanford, crusty curmudgeons with hearts of golds if decidedly empathically tone deaf.

Of course I also think we might be swinging to far in the other direction, truth be told...:twilightoops:

But that might be a bad example, but Ruckus is pretty much the only modern iteration of the archetype that comes to mind, and he's a decided parody himself. Yet he's still ridiculously popular

5346659 All will become perfect in 2032, when The Plan reaches its final stage and I am named God-Emperor of Mankind.

I'm working on my mech suit as we speak! But the aluminum foil won't stay on the coardboard very well... :applejackunsure:
