Trust me, it won't stop because of a new gen.
Hell, Princess Twilight may be more apt to visit the dungeons to relieve stress than her other incarnations.
In a way, that’s probably a good thing. Now, they can’t even mentally screw up the happy ending G4 gave us for those characters. There won’t be that wriggling little thought in the back of our minds that Hasbro stole Twilight’s life if they recast her as an earth pony, or something.
Happy to see it'S going to be a new cast, but I still expect to see the names of the Mane 6 thrown in here and there for Hasbro to keep their licence rights for the names.

I always thought they would do an alt universe where some of the mane 6 were alerted to fit roles of their other selves.
The adventure would be them trying to find a way home with new powers and lives.
I'd love to write it, but I haven't the time for another year and a half.
