Time for some updates. · 8:38am Aug 14th, 2020
Hello everyone Equinox here.
Ok, time for some serious talk. I have been creatively drained for a bit now. There are many reasons but before I discuss that I want you all to know this. My Little Tactics Chapter 39 WAS done. It was a collab between me and two other authors. It was a huge chapter 22k words long. That is triple what I normally shoot for. We had finished it it was done, and in my normal fashion of how I write, I was starting on the next chapter. I got about a third through that chapter when word hits. The two that I were my collab partners, split apart for reasons that are unknown to me. They didn't say, I didn't pry. However as a result, they wished to separate their characters and not wish to be further involved with each other. THIS left me with a huge chapter that I will not post as it would go against the will of those that wish for their characters not to be involved with each other again.
Here is where one part of the issue lies. For me, my brain goes, that chapter is done move one. Except now its not done, but I was writing the next chapter, which my brain then goes, but you cant write this chapter unless the chapter before was done thus it must be done right? Then it goes into a loop of doing that over and over again and for a good long while, I struggled trying to get over that.
Things where then looking good and I was making progress. Then a month and a half ago my grandmother passed. I was close with my grandmother so its been hard. Problem is, my grandfather and mother are taking it even worse. Trying to be an emotional crutch for two people while steeling your own emotions is rough to say the least. It has left me mentally and creatively drained and honestly I havent looked at editing/writing anything for the new chapter 39 pretty much since. I am trying to do better and I am going to be honest, this is part of that process. Part of me is writing this for the sake of you all to let you know why there has been just a black out on when the next chapter is. The other part of me is doing this so I can make myself get motivated reminding myself that I enjoy writing and that people enjoy reading what I write as well as partly cathartic just to vent and get all of it out there if that makes sense.
So there you have it. Pretty much my life at the moment. Not sure how many people read my blogs when I post them rarely but I will try my best to keep you all more informed.

I am quite sad that on needing to wait longer for a new chapter, but I understand that you are preoccupied with problems that require your full attention, so I don't mind waiting a bit longer for a new chapter. The only thing I ask is if you choose to go dark/hiatus, please inform us beforehand so that we may know that you need more time to recover.
Sorry to hear about all of that. I hope you're doing better.
Don't rush yourself, and don't work yourself too hard. I'd rather have you healthy, than have a new chapter.

I cannot apologize enough for adding onto your stress with mine and Pyro's split, Star. Considering the fault was pretty much entirely mine, I can only hope to find a way to make it up to you somehow. Also, know that I'm here to talk if you need to vent. I know things are hard, but if I know you, you'll be strong enough to push through. I may not know you well, but I know you well enough to recognize a hardy spirit.

Thanks for your concern, I am doing better these days. Just dealing with lack of motivation/creative slump for the moment is all. Knowing me it will all come to a head with a burst of writing that will get a chapter or two done pretty quick. lol
