No Doom this week. · 4:12am Aug 10th, 2020
There no excuse I’m being lazy this weekend. Next Chapter of Doom of Griffonstone not out of outline stage. Just a few things to think about how to write fully.
I did notice a time problem. It taking Doom to long to rescue Hans and Gilda. I could solve it in a few ways. One Discord plays with time so events in the “Show” take longer, or he really fools around and cut to commercials. That could be fun.
Another way could be Doom finds them one after the other.
It's okay that it's taking longer, I understand. I can't wait to see what you do for the next chapter. The "cutting to commercial" seems like a fun way to work around the time problem

Yeah I’m already thinking of a few gag commercials. I been reading a light novel from Japan. The Lazy Dungeon Master and I’m on book four.
My inner Twilight showing by the time I noticed I spent way to long reading I didn’t have time finishing it.

Well, that's the drawback to having multiple characters in different dimensions. It really drags the pacing down. You have Gilda in the X-Men verse , Hans the Slenderman in the Spiderman verse, and to top it all off Dr. Doom have to save both them by playing Discord's game. That's a lot of narrative shit to balance around.
Doing something as complex like this has to be planned ahead and well thought out. You can't just make it up as you go or you'll end up with a Star Wars sequel trilogy clusterfuck of a mess.
Sometime it's just best to write down story ideas and notes and work them out before starting the next chapter. You know get a clear outline of the plot progression. If necessary write a filler or interlude chapters to give the readers something to read for the mean time.
And doing this usually help deal with laziness or writer's block. You know to get the inspiration flowing. Many authors do this sort of thing.

Yeah I try to challenge myself and it seems I underestimated the challenge.
What I’m running into is details of the trip too each Den. It basically a car trip from Alaska to New Mexico I in distance.
In the time of the show it just a few miles from New York to where the X-Men mansion located. Hans has to walk that distance and Doctor Doom is in a limo.
So logically the time table is off.

Ah, I see. Well it happens to the best us friend, both novice and experienced writers alike. Like I said if you're going to do something as complex like that. Make sure you planned it all out and see what works and doesn't work for both the narrative and the pacing. Before you start writing the next chapter. Consider this a lesson and move on.
Well, if it's time you need. You could have Discord fuck with the Dr. Doom's party or Gilda's or Han's. He has after all been known to do this. I mean he's not type to sit back and do nothing. Because he's spirit of chaos after all which means he's a cheater. Especially if this is the pre-reform Discord.
Furthermore, I dont think you should worry about the time table all too much. However if it bothers you that much than try creating a time difference between the real world and the comic worlds. Who says both dimensions have to flow at the same pace as the other, time wise. Well, you get the point. That sort of thing is common in both DC and Marvel comic stories.
I should know, I've been a fan of both since 1993.😅

It turns out I planned the Doom visit to the Dens I have every den mapped out and the culture flair/Differences figured out.
It what happening in the Marvel Universe I didn’t planned out enough.
Time dilation and Discord messing around with Hans and Gilda I think are my best options. The reason I’m including the other Doctor Doom is to mess with Gilda. She is falling for the Doom that saved her and here she going to face a Doctor Doom that sees her as a means for power.
Discord is testing the loyalty of the group. At any time Doom could use the Infinity Gauntlet to stop Discord. But could wouldn’t be able to save the others. Would Gilda’s growing devotion to Doom break when faced with Doctor Doom? Hans...well in this case Hans not important lol.

It did and you were right I bit too much to chew with this. Doom gets his chance to save Hans in the Raven’s Den.
Then it’s the Hawks den where he learns he isn’t the Doom of 616 but a creation of Hans own mind.
Eagles Den he rescues Gilda
Owls Den he faces... Something.
So in the words of a time traveling doctor Wibbly wobbly timey wimey.
I was so focus on the details of what happens I didn’t plot out the timing.

Alright than. Oh and one more thing. Best keep hid your story ideas or keep it on the done low what you intend to do next, if you want to keep the audience under suspend or not spoiled on what's going to happen next in the story. Otherwise its all pointless.

I haven’t said anything that hasn’t been stated in the story. Perhaps the order is new. Discord said what was in the dens before it started.
