Chapter 8 length problems.

So I am working on chapter 8. It is turning out to be one of the longest Chapters I have written. Does everyone like the short chapters that I have been doing?

Should I post the longer chapter or should I cut it up?

That's hard to answer without seeing it first, so my first proposition is to post the entire thing as is, but ask in the author's note if it should be broken up. It's much easier to judge something we can see.

That's up to you. I personally prefar shorter Chapters, but I have also no problem with reading longer Chapters, if the story is promissing.

ok, thank you for the advice. I am curious. What is the maximum length you would consider for a chapter to be short? I ask because it is still short. But by what I have been writing it is long.

Personally, i would consider your Chapters medium sized since shorter is for me everything that is less then 3K words..

If a chapter has betwenn 3K and 7K I consider it medium sized. Everything above that is large and I read them rarly.

That would be only if it's an exception from the the usual Chapter length or if it's a really good story, like FoE.

I know the problem to well and try to keep my own Chapters around 2,5K.
I also apologiced for writting a 4K Chapter, since this is a bit longer than I usually do.
