So I crawled out of my hole today. Apparently, it was a bad day to do so.
There's a fucking Aryanne clopfic at the top of the featured board with a comment section that looks like half the readers had their dog shot by the author while the other half is licking his SS boots. (That's a joke)
Oh and a fic about a nazi being executed in Equestria as some kinda protest fic and the comments on that are on a different level entirely.
I was gone, like, a month. Are you guys okay? Should I send help? What kind of help do you send in this situation?
Anyway, I'm not getting into it, because getting into political shit on the internet is about as productive as yelling at the sky because the last hailstorm damaged your car. It's just... man, this has been a wild day for me.
How's it going out there on the internet? I bet y'all are wondering why the hell I'm talking to you when I should be writing stuff. Well here's the deal, I am. And I'm here to tell you about it. Didn't you see the title of this? Let's get into some word counts that are totally unrelated to the current debates that I feel like the moderation team is going to have to weigh in on pretty soon.
Various Projects; ~7,000 words. Yeah I can't really be more specific for this one. There was that shipping contest last month and I went through like 3 ideas for it. And then.... y'know; deadline was 3 weeks ago. On the plus side, I now have 3 Twidash stories roughly planned and started. Also I did some other experimental stuff.
Unnamed Human AU; 330 words. I know that isn't very impressive, but hear me out here. This is a fic I've had brewing in my brain for almost 2 years. I've started it countless times but each time I scrapped the opener because I couldn't find something I liked and the plot was a mess and just.... I'm horrible at writing. But this time I've landed on something where everytime I look at what I have it makes me want to expand on it and continue the fic. That's huge for me, especially since I've been pretty unmotivated recently. So yeah, I'm counting this tiny beginning because it's managed to hook my interest. Now, I'm going to temper this one a bit; this is a long story, and... well I really want to do it right. This one won't be coming out until it's finished. So... I'll include it in full disclosure posts, but that's all you'll really see of it until it's ready.
Steampunk AU; 2,925 words. Not really a focus right now, but a fun piece to work on when I feel like world building. I do love a good steampunk setting. Also, Twidash. Because who would I be if I wasn't writing Twidash?
My Clockwork Heart; 699 words. Yeesh that's a bit more pathetic than I thought it was. This one is a practice for me. If you've followed me long enough you'll know I tend to write from Rainbow's POV. By now, I have her voice down pretty well, and he character is often a point of pride for me. However, it's about time I give some love to the other have of the undeniably best ship in the fandom.... too far? Screw you. This fic is for me to practice Twilight;'s personality and bringing her voice out in my writing. So far it's looking good, but because of that I write it slower as I focus more on making it sound like Book Horse.
Unnamed Basic Twidash; 1,602 words. This has been my focus for the past week or so. it's... well it's what it looks like. A basic, old-school Twidash fic. Going back to my roots. Using all the cliches I want. Because I want some fuzzy feel goods, damn it.
Porn; 2,300 words on 2 fics. one R63 gayness (I'm gay. Sue me). and one anthro futaxfemale. Because I'm also not gay. Fucking sue me. You won't. I uh... well I don't have a lot to say here. I have to be in a very specific headspace to write porn so... y'know; don't go expecting much.
T-t-t-total word count; ~14,000. Well, looking at it like that I suppose it's not a bad number. But I really need to focus on... y'know; finishing something. And writing more consistently. And... okay I get it; I have a lot of room to grow here. Well whatever. I live life at my own pace, yo.
So yeah. That's my report for y'all. Nothing terribly interesting, i'm afraid, but bare with me. Or don't! Lord knows I haven't exactly earned a lot of good will lately. But I'm trying, and that's all we can do.

You wanna look at some real nazi shit, look up what's going on in China with the Uyghurs. Shit's scary man. And fucking sobering to see that drone footage that's been doing the rounds on the internet lately. Kinda makes it seem a bit silly to make a fucking nazi pony your poster child for free speech.

Lol, long story short Aryanne got banned from derpibooru so all the edgelords and actual Nazis took up arms about how their free speech is bring infringed upon. So they made an art pack that's 'just a joke bro, you're the Nazi for trying to take this away from us'.

I talked to a friend of mine about this. He went how do we know this is not just some troll trying to piss off people. From what I have seen it's working. I doubt he is really a nazi. I just think he is doing this to either trigger a response or to see how rabid both sides get on this site. For me, I have just haven't cared. I am just looking at this argument and going okay? But I have noticed this seems a lot at a trolls attempt rather than a real nazi thing. At least that's how it looks to me. Because yes there are real nazis out there. But I just think this is a guy trying way too hard to be a troll. he is pulling what wow trolls do. Trying to anger and get a response and it's sadly working.

I'll avoid getting into it too much here since I don't think heated comments were the point of the blog.
But Nazis, even 'ironic' ones, should not be tolerated on the simple principal that if you want a diverse, welcoming community you can't be welcoming to people with views that support genocide and other terrible things or you'll eventually only have those kinds of people left. I'm sure there's been a not insignificant number of people who've left this site as a result of all this because I've come close myself.

yeah, I am not leaving I don't wish to leave. I just wish to write and enjoy it while the site stays. I am sure it will as well. It's just sad though that so many are getting angry at each other.
Good to see you around bud. Yeah, the comment section of that story has turned into quite the shit show, I've commented a couple times in there with my thoughts on the whole ordeal. If you go now it's mostly a mix of conversation about free speech, veganism, and what to do if you have an STD

I was a little sad when I didn't see you story for the contest, but hell I almost missed the deadline. I think I submitted it hours before it closed. But I am curious to see what else you can do with Twidash at this point. As much as I had fun writing about them again after so long, even I'm running out of ideas for them sometimes. And don't worry, I have the same problem as you with incomplete stuff. My list of incomplete stories dwarfs the list of what I actually have written.
