Fall asleep? No, most certainly would not. This is by far the most inspiring song in the whole album, possibly ever made by Sabaton. This song encompasses the purpose every soldier dies for. Pacifists have no idea what they are talking about, war has meaning - it has more meaning than almost anything else in our lives. It is a sorrowful work, but necessary and honorable. War allows everyone an opportunity to do something meaningful and be remembered for it. This is far-far more than average person can dream of. But a soldier is not an average person, they care not about such things. To a soldier, the only thing important is the people, they die so that others do not have to. I cannot sleep listening to this song here, I can barely restrain myself from jumping up and doing something.
5310147 Huh. Well, not to sound like... a d**k, but don’t you have a military history? I mean, listening to a song about war probably isn’t the healthiest choice... Besides, I’m only 13. I haven’t seen anything too traumatizing
5310176 "Military history" is exactly what I've been having for the last half a decade. This song is beautiful in a very fatalistic way, but beautiful nonetheless. All war songs are beautiful, from those troopers sing in trenches from boredom, all the way to songs made to be played on stages. What makes them this way has absolutely nothing to do with the band, or even if they can sing at all, they are beautiful because they are genuine. War is no place for pretence. War is a very simple business, at war, you have a purpose. You follow your purpose until you no longer can. This is all there is to it whether you are a private or a general. Soldiers rarely talk, or sing, about things they do not care about. Soldiers sing about their hopes and dreams, about their homes and dears, and, of course, about their friends and comrades. War songs are never about the war itself, you do not need to experience it to understand what these songs are about. War songs are about people, about soldiers who tell you about their dreams in the form of a song; and their dreams are so-so amazingly beautiful.
Nah, I don't think it's weird. Sometimes I fall asleep to songs that aren't technically lullabies

Huh
5309992
Yeah. I honestly think that no song can really be classified as a lullaby, since you could fall asleep to many different kinds of music

True
Nope! For me, I listen to some Islamic lectures. They help me fall asleep. As well as listening to the holy quran.

Yeah
5309996
Huh
5309999
