Just going to try to keep the other stories alive. · 6:57am Jun 22nd, 2020
I'll be trying to update the other stories at least once while I'm working on the RWBY arc of the KH story. It's been a long time since any of them have even been touched and I think it's time for something. Though I also have something else to say regarding 2 of my stories.
New Life of a Crow.
Burden of Love, Curse of Hatred.
THEY ARE NOT BEING CANCELED! Not exactly anyway. Honestly with New Life, that was mostly me testing the waters and seeing what I could get away with on my first story with no real goal/ end in mind and seeing how much the progression would make a difference to the readers. I got away with a lot surprisingly, I was honestly expecting it to be shit, I still have no idea what I was doing right.
As for Burden? I was originally planning to wait until the Demon King actually died in the manga so I'd have more to work with/ fewer inconsistencies before starting it, but I couldn't help myself. Aside from what it was being crossed over with, I wasn't expecting that much of a better reception, but it got one regardless.
When, and that's a big WHEN I get around to it, I plan on restarting those two stories to see what I can do to try to improve them. What was necessary? Was the pacing decent? Were the characters/ interactions reasonably balanced between what we'd expect from the show and irl? You get the idea. Those stories will still be available for reading, just expect a new/ updated/ fixed version of the stories eventually.
Otherwise, expect an update for "Low Level" Mage in a few days if all goes well.
fair enough
You did a good job on both your story If you think that they are a disappointment they are not no one can stop you these are your stories you maybe not canceling them but your followers will still miss them as for the updates go for it updates means new things new things means new problems new problems means new threats have fun with that

Not disappointments, no. New Life was more of an experiment that did MUCH better than expected. Burden was fun and I'd say it was a success, though I feel I could do a better job now than a year or two ago when I was still new to writing.

You came a long way but remember the point of writing is to have fun as the writer you set your own time so do not rush yourself And take all the time that is needed because your stories it's about to take you on a ride

I will.

👍
Aw i liked how New life is now, but if u feel it could be better then i don't see why not

Can you possibly keep that story up when you rewrite it? I like to compare the 2 and I still like to reread it.

They'll stay up even after the rewrites are published.
I was hoping you'd continue New Life as is but a rewrite is nice as well. It's a really good story.

Always
I do think you went a bit far with the "bad-mouth me and I kill you" stuff in New Life of a Crow (and conversely with how much he got bad-mouthed) unless either of these were your own experience. It seems slightly like certain Chinese novels in that regard.
Another issue is that I don't know how anyone would reasonably be expected to have heard his warning since the show doesn't seem to describe any sort of general address or fast-messaging system for news.
It wasn't one of the best stories I've read, and the "seeing what I could get away with" was a bit evident, but it wasn't a bad story either.
Do you plan to rewrite them in place or post a new story? I really liked the guard training scene, and would like to take inspiration from it should my own story take off, and deleting it would cause problems with that (of course, that assumes you'd give me permission...).

I'm not sure if I'll be posting a new story/ rewrite or if I'll just be posting the new version in the old stories. As for the training scenes, I was mostly writing that with DBZ abridged and one of the Tokyo Ghoul abridged (which one IDFK) in mind. If permission is actually needed, then I fucked up.
