The Phoenix and the Headstone - Chapter 4 Ending Change · 9:30am Jun 1st, 2020
After sleeping on Chapter 4 of The Phoenix and the Headstone I have decided to change the ending. This has resulted in the last two paragraphs being replaced with a different conclusion.
The reason for the change - As readers we would never have gone to Equestria, only hearing Sunset and Twilight's thoughts and feelings on the visit and how it changed them as people, both the good and the bad. However, bringing that level of Magic and Fantasy into this story felt wrong even as I was writing it, but I felt I had a good way to get round this for the final chapter. However, after trying to write that, it didn't work or fit this story so now that line has been dropped and I have kept the story in this world.
DarthSonic66 - The Main 6 of the human world aren't friends anymore, and as a result the magic is gone, dispersed, useless. This time line isn't comparable with what happens in the normal EQG Universe.
I never intended for them to go to Equestria so I'm not sure why I changed my mind for long enough to post the chapter with that first ending.
