Commission rates update (starting June) · 4:03am May 25th, 2020

my first blog post :D
I'm really happy with the frequency of commissions im getting from this site
Thank you to everyone who commissioned me for artworks, I'm very happy to draw for your wonderful stories
it beats the graphic design work I do for businesses and clients.
Doing art for stories and characters is truly where I find the most satisfaction creatively
So I would really love to do these freelance cover artist work full time
Starting June, I'm going to update my rates to better reflect the time and work needed for each category
I've noticed that some prices are too close to each other which makes it hard to gauge the exact amount for quoting a price
And it doesnt help that I USD isn't my main currency xD so I have to convert it first to my currency every time I do a commission
here's a list of proposed updated rates (effective at June):
CELL SHADED STYLE
Headshot: $15 (unchanged)
Half Body: $30
Full Body: $60
With Background: $10 (unchanged)
RENDERED STYLE
Headshot: $20 (unchanged)
Half Body: $40
Full Body: $80
With Background: $20
Additional Character: 60% (no more 75% for rendered)
of course this isn't final yet
and I would love to know your thoughts on these prices
I'm fine with it, though I'll probably ask for simpler covers in the future.
You don't have a lot of followers here, you should post a blog in Art for Fanfiction to see how people react. maybe include some of the more complicated covers both as an example of the more complex work and as a bit of advertising.
