New chapter, chapter formats, and release schedule · 6:45pm May 14th, 2020
Hey everyone!
So after some debating with a few others I've decided to amend my update schedule. Things are just so unpredictable, and it's hard to get anything done at all. And the feedback I've gotten has been pretty definitive that the worst part of it is the 'not knowing' aspect. That, even with the regular assurances, there's still the worry that I'm going to abandon the project. Because so many others have in the past, especially with the end of show / new gen cycle.
So to try and get something that everyone can actually look forward to, I'm changing my update schedule to every two weeks for the foreseeable future. Once I get enough leeway again, I'll start phasing in more regular postings.
So here's how I'm going to go about it for now. I have two different types of chapters with the story. Full Chapters, and 'half' or 'in between' chapters. Full chapters will be uploaded every 2 weeks, and the 'half' chapters will be uploaded in between where relevant.
Half chapters are not done so because of size. Rather they are additional bits of the story that take place at that point in time of the story. However they typically will be something that will explain something in more detail and aren't really required to enjoy the rest of the story.
So if all you want is the main story, with only the main plot line relevance: Skip the half chapters. They re easily identified by the number scheme.
But if you're in the camp that would like to know more of what's going on, lore wise or character development wise, and / or 'the more pony words the better' then definitely read the half chapters as well. They'll give you a bit more insight into certain things along the way.
Today is an example of this, with 62.5, that will help explain a bit of what's going on in chp 63 that is scheduled for release next week.
I hope switching to a more predictable schedule will be more to your liking.
As always, Comments, questions, suggestions, or critiques are welcomed, encouraged, and appreciated.
