State of the Story / Behind the Scenes Peek · 11:14am Dec 1st, 2023
Hey everyone,
I’m writing today to give you a bit of a heads up on what I’ve been doing and what I’m planning to do with the story.
So, as some of you may have noticed, I’ve been posting once a month around the same time of the month. This isn’t merely a coincidence. This has been planned. I’ve made a lot of effort to try and get some form of consistency with my updates again.
As most of you are aware, I’ve been having some serious struggles for the last couple years and it has majorly been impacting my posting schedule, and my writing in general. So it was suggested by one of you lovely readers that instead of trying to focus on posting as quickly as I can, to instead focus on being more consistent. Then, through that, any extra writing will help me build up a buffer so I can increase my posting schedule later on should that become an option again. Because it'll give me some breathing room and help soak up delays easier.
And that is exactly what I have started doing. Though I had to bear through the first couple months to get the ball rolling. But, so far, things seem to be going in the right direction again.
This month in particular I’ve been focusing pretty heavily on writing. It is NaNoWriMo after all. But, honestly, as much as I would like to do nothing but focus on writing like this on the regular, this month has simply been one of the months that’s ALLOWED me to do so. I haven’t had nearly as many problems crop up as I had in the past. However, as a wonderful side effect, things have gotten better from a mental health side of things as well. Where as before whenever I’d sit down to write I just COULDN’T, now it seems I’ve shaken off the rust and whatever else was bogging me down. For the most part. Maybe it was simply giving myself permission NOT to write and post as much as I'd originally intended, and just deal with everything as it came, that allowed this to happen. I do not know. What I DO know is that the flow has come back pretty strong and while it is I’m writing as much as possible as often as possible.
And things are feeling pretty good right about now. [Having said that, I ask the writer of the universe to kindly NOT throw in another ‘plot twist’ at me for a couple more months -at least- please and thank you xD]
All of that being said, I’m hoping to start a twice monthly posting starting in January. If things continue to go well and improve, I may start upping that rate. But that will only be able to be figured out by time.
So keep an eye out in the middle of the month for the next chapter of Fallout Equestria: Clockwork Precision.
Also, for those that care to read them too, there should be a new “canonical side story” coming within the first week of December. This one is themed around prewar Nightmare Night, and I’d actually had it planned for a few years now but things kept cropping up that got it pushed back. And I wanted it out for THIS Halloween, but things didn’t pan out then either. And since I didn’t want to just sit on this for another year, I figured I’d go ahead and release it.

Happy to hear you are doing better dude and that you are managing to be productive again along with a better state of mind. I wish you will, and keep it up.
this is all awesome news. but as you say keep building up chapter's till you have a good 10 or 12 just sitting..
this will make it easier for you to track time frame and if as you say life drops the next crap ball on you it wont bother your scheduled.
and if need be i can drive you and shack a bit of seance in to you.
