IRL Update: Grieving · 4:22am May 14th, 2020
It was sudden. So sudden, in fact, even I could have done nothing as I called 911 to detail the situation. I had to tell them to call my stepmom to let her know about it, while on with them, to keep them up to date with the situation. Now, the whole household is grieving...
Grandpa died. I could not have gotten him up on my own (he was taller than I, and more heavyset) after he had fallen and hit his head. The coroner speculated stroke, or insulin crash because the hospital told him to not take anymore until his kidneys could process it properly again.
Funerary proceeds will be arranged tomorrow. Grandpa didn't leave a will so much as instructions, to Dad, on what should happen if he were to die...
And I, in my own grief, cracked out a cold one. Funnily enough, I feel like I'll have a dream where the old man'll tell me it wasn't my fault, before bitching about how he died. At least, though, his suffering ended on the mortal coil.

I'm so sorry to hear that...But if your grandpa is anything like my grandpa when he was alive, he would probably complain about how they died, but not without cracking a joke or two knowing him...I hope the funeral goes well, and if you need anyone to talk to about this, I'm always free.

I know how u feel, i lost the only grandfather i knew growing up the same day that my sister gave birth to my third niece afew years ago

Honestly, that's a thought that I can't help but find slightly nice to dwell on in a sense. After a passing, the deceased not distraught or in denial, just less than pleased on the circumstances of their end. It seems so lighthearted.
