An unusual sound got Rainbow Dash's attention as she walked out of Wonderbolts HQ. With the current situation all of their shows had been cancelled but they were still getting together to train. It wasn't long before she found Soarin on the field, getting ready to take off. He'd been gone all day and had told nopony.
Hey Soarin, what's up? You've never missed practice before.
*sighs and turns around.*
A metallic clank sounded as Soarin's left forehoof hit the ground.
Hey! You got a new leg.
Yeah, that's why I missed today. I had a few appointments to keep to fit me with this. Thought I'd come in and get some practice at least.
You alright? I know it's not the real thing, but James only has so many mages that can cast that spell ...
*growling* ... and they're teaching ponies as best as they can. Yeah, I heard. They also said I should talk to a councilor about losing my leg. I just want to get back into the sky.

Look Crash. I need to practice if I'm going to fly in shows once they get going again.
Saorin flapped his wings and took to the air. As he ran the obstacle course he began to drift to the right, crashing into obstacles periodically and getting visibly more frustrated. Rainbow Dash rushed to fly alongside him.
It's alright Soarin, we're not going to start the shows until all of the Bolts are ready to fly. That includes you. Take care of yourself.
I just need to practice, that's all! I'm still a Wonderbolt!
With a defiant snort he pushed himself harder until one of the rings knocked him off course, throwing him into a cloud bank.
Soarin, maybe seeing a councilor would be good for you. We've all been through a lot recently, and you wouldn't be the only Bolt who needs help with something either.
Just let me practice, Crash.
Frustrated, Rainbow Dash looms over him.
No! You're my friend and I'm not going to watch you do this to yourself! Promise me you'll talk to somepony about this, or I'm not getting out of your way!
Soarin stared up at her for a few moments before huffing.
Fine. I'll talk to somepony.
You have to promise. It's no good if you don't promise.
Fine. I promise I'll talk to somepony.
Rainbow Dash dropped down to the cloud, offering a hoof to help Soarin out.
You been working on your Spitfire impression? You sounded a lot like her for a moment there.
*gasp* What? Noooooo. ... ... Okay, maybe a little. It was good, right?
*chuckles* Yeah, it was good.

Honestly, I'm doing these blurbs because I really like Fallout's style, and it helps keep me creative while I'm trying to write my sequel.
There is a lot of interuniversal travel in the story however, just not to many variations of Equestria. Or many variations of different universes either.

I'm considering writing his story out too, and showing his path that led him to become one of the bad guys. Some of the biggest factors in his change are his desire to protect, his caring and concern, and his tendency towards wrath.
