Hello Everyone, hope you're all having a good day.
Wanted to give you guys regular(ish) updates on how the story is faring, and another general status update over what the hell is going on here. So for those who do not, How to tell you friends your dating a changeling has been revived. I am aiming for a chapter per month, but that will depend on current events and all that jazz.
Good news, new chapter is going well. Currently sitting at over 2000 words. I took a week off to work on my other story and do other things like finally play through the FF7 Remake, but bakc on track and its chugging along nicely. Looks like it will be a tad longer than expected, and there will be a nice chunk of plot development at the start. The filler is nice cause it builds the relationship betwen Dash and Question, but can only have so much of that at a time before it begins to drag. It's been good to get back to it honestly. Now for an unfortunate confirmation...
Any other story I was working on is cancelled.
Wanted to emphasise this, mainly directed towards League of Ponies. Honestly hasn't aged well, if I was to tackle it again I'd have to rewited over half of it at this point before I was happy with it, and it just wasn't very popular. Its overly edgy, kind of a mess, trying to do too much at once when I needed to scale right back. I take heart that I've grown a lot in the last six years, both as a person and writer, but like anything, I still have a lot to improve on, and stories like that remind me why.
With that said, those who read my doctor whooves story, and those that have been re-reading 'How to' from the start may have noticed in the authors note an ad for another story for doctor whooves... no promises, but I am tempted to start that one up too. Will focus on finishng this first then see how I feel, but I'm more focused on original work these days. Anyway, any specific questions feel free to ask me below, but expect the next chapter sometime in May (probably mid-late). See you all later.
