Finally putting together a comprehensive author universe after years of writing smaller, disconnected story universes.
You know what's more fun?
Guessing which fics served as inspiration. 
See if you can name 'em without posting my entire list of stories. 
But anyway, yeah, the story universe I've been fleshing out will likely be the main basis for what I hope will be quite a few stories down the road. Before now, the most experience I had with building an author universe was Pony-Me, though, in the end, it turned out to be a little too restrictive.
This time, however, I'm solving that problem right from the get-go. Much of Pony-Me's lore was written out about halfway through the story, so most of it is stuff that was immediately relevant to the story itself, with not much room to grow or expand. This time, I'm writing the lore side-by-side as the chapters are written, meaning I've got plenty of chances to add in little tidbits here and there that could serve as independent stories.
