The reason I write is because I want to read a story written for myself. One day, I want to read one of my own stories and say to myself "That is the best story I have ever read."

    Merry Christmas

So to start off, I wish a heartfelt and sincere Merry Christmas to everybody, or Happy Holidays for those who do not celebrate.

Of course, I know that the feeling of needing to be happy at this time is quite taxing. I see it a lot in my day job doing social work. To those, I do wish that at least your hardships be soothed for a short period of time.

So I know a few people have read the book aloud but this is probably got the furthest and one of the best made.

Unfortunately, it's not complete but Straight to the point has a pretty good voice when reading it! I hope you all enjoy

A Fractured Song Chapter 10 Update · 12:37am Apr 4th, 2020

Time for another update of my original web novel A Fractured Song

What, you still don't not convinced? Alright then, here are the first few paragraphs

When the bell rang for recess Frances was one of the first to leave. With practiced ease, she slipped her thin form past her classmates, but rather than join the throng heading for the cafeteria, which was where most of the school gathered when it rained, she headed for the school library.

Hugging the locker-lined halls of Grenfall High, the young Gr. 8 kept her head down as she passed unnoticed by sophomores and seniors. However, she peeked around every corner, before scurrying on.

That caution paid off, when she peeked around a corner and instantly pulled back.

Luckily, although Frances’s bullies, the pretty dark-haired Leila, and her blonde counterpart Jessica had been waiting in the hall, they had been chatting. She hadn’t been seen.

Breathing out, Frances readjusted her ill-fitting backpack and plotted another route. The library had two entrances after all. And if she was fast enough, Jessica and Leila wouldn’t suspect a thing.

At least, she hoped they wouldn’t. She hadn't been able to finish her homework last night because her arms and back had hurt too much. Not that she could have done so anyway. After her parents had punished her, they'd locked her in the walk-in closet that served as her room, which barely had any light. And since she had nothing to give to her bullies, they’d add more bruises on top of the ones she already had.

Her arms, already aching, wailed at the mere thought of more punishment. That thought forced her feet to move.
