Good News and Bad News... · 8:07am Mar 31st, 2020
With the recent viral events that have been happening, even the land of maple leaves and ice isn’t safe. People panic, places shut down or limit themselves, and it becomes more and more desirable to just stay inside and try to ride out the madness. Coming along with that was the topic of today’s blog.
BAD NEWS: Due to the virus and the health concerns surrounding it, my boss had no choice but to place me on suspended employment (pretty much temporarily fired) until further notice. Also because of the virus, it’ll be stupidly difficult to find another job to fill in the in-between time (which may also end up being pointless, if my temporary leave doesn’t last very long). So aside from EI (which I can apply for), I’m out a revenue stream, and will have to severely limit my spending habits, and rely on my significant other to pick up the slack. I’m certainly gonna do what I can to make sure I don’t turn into a massive burden to her in this trying time, but yeah, times is tough for now.
GOOD NEWS: On the bright side, I’ve got significantly more time to get into “the zone” and try to do more writing (and maybe do more art as well), so maybe I’ll be able to get some chapters done quicker. Further, I’ve got more time to play games I may have been neglecting (as well as continue my quest to S-Rank DMC5), so there is no way in hell I should EVER get bored while waiting. Further still, I’ll be able to hang out with my wife more often now, so that’s a nice little bonus. I just hope she doesn’t get too sick of my dumbass...
That said, I’m in the middle of doing two chapters for “Beautiful Stories for Ugly Children”. So, look out for that when they release.

Problem is, I’m not necessarily comfortable getting money through those means, nor would I get very much even if I were. I’d need something much more concrete that could get me a proper flow, and unfortunately, signing up for unemployment for the time being may be the only way.

Yeah... at least rent is payed for now, and there’s enough food to last a while, so we don’t NEED to spend any cash for the time being.
Anyway, thanks for the concern, but I should be alright.
