An update on my plans! · 11:50am Mar 11th, 2020
So, I've been silent all this time, and I figured I owe everyone an update. I didn't expect chapter 33 to take so long to write; I was supposed to be on a roll! Unfortunately, that isn't what life wanted for me.
My work is exhausting, my favourite artist half dead (literally), my inspiration and motivations took a hit, and other things damaged me. Despite all of this, I am still working on chapter 33 and pressing toward finishing Broken Bonds, but I must admit, taking the time away from writing made me become more and more anxious about getting back on the horse, and the fact that chapter 33 is going to be such an important chapter only intimidated me further.
That was until recently, when a new idea sprung to life in my mind. So, I'm pleased to tease/announce that there is going to be a new story released some time soon. Something short, something different, something that is helping me retreive my mojo. It will still be Fallout Equestria. It is still set in the same canon as Broken Bonds, though whether these two stories will ever mingle directly, I'm not sure yet.
To give you an idea of the scope of this story; the prologue is 1,400 words while the first chapter is 3,500 words. I am not aiming for 30 - 50 chapters with this story, but rather, perhaps five to eight. I'm not entirely certain myself yet, but I will ease any worries by saying that this story isn't an epic, but a recollection of smaller tales.
The point of this project isn't to try and upstage Broken Bonds, but to make me feel comfortable with writing again. So, I apologise for the wait, but here's to hoping that if you like Broken Bonds, that you'll enjoy my upcoming project perhaps even more?
