Choices and Questions? · 7:30pm Mar 7th, 2020
So with Ask Roseate Grimsbane's story drawing gradually closer to a close (like that creepy homeless guy who keeps getting closer and closer to your front door) I have been considering what I want to write after that stories conclusion.
I've also realized that I would like to release chapters for that story more consistently then... Well... Now. So it would be great to have the story prewritten long before release to insure this.
At the same time I would still like to have some reader interaction with the readers being able to ask the main character questions and possibly even determining some choices as well.
So here is my question.
How would you feel about a story where there is a section where the character reads your questions... And you can make choices, which only affect this section instead of the whole story.
It literally makes that I don't have to wait to see your responses to write the next chapter. I could literally have a full story written out and only have one section to write (that being the question section) each month.
So... What do you think? Do you like it or not? Leave a comment below... Please.
Its a good idea.
So.. is it jest a Choose your own story
or what ?
5215757 So you remember how Ask Roseate Grimsbane has choices at the end of each chapter that affects the story? Think of something like that but the choices only affect the Ask section of the story.
Absolutely. As fun as it is for the readers to change the course of the story, the last thing any of us want is for you, the author, to lose your passion for it. That’s what I fear could happen if it no longer feels like “your story.”
Keeping the overall story arc fully under your control sounds like a good idea.

So.. what would change in the.. story ?
5215763 So the story itself wouldn't change, just the sections where the character answers the reader's questions.
I know it sounds a little weird, I will be able to go into better detail, once I am further along with this concept.
What NicLove said. Got a bit of a migraine today.
5216234 I thought, I answered what he said (both times actually)... so, what's the question?
