Well, it finally happened.
I won't be able to publish this chapter on time. I'm especially sorry since I know I left on a cliffhanger last time, but that also means I have an obligation to make this next chapter a good one. And I am uncertain about too many things in the chapter I have written right now to publish it.
There have been plenty of times before when I have seriously wondered if my chapters would be accepted; especially when I made choices that felt controversial. In general I have received overwhelmingly positive feedback, and that means much to me. Therefore, I feel like I owe all my readers who have taken hours of their time to read through more than 70 000 words of my story to hold myself to a high standard.
I can never be certain you, my readers, are entirely satisfied with the choices I make. However I can and will make sure that the story is one I am pleased with. And until I am, I will withhold this chapter.
Maybe I can publish it tomorrow, but I cannot guarantee it. Else, it will be up some time in the next week... I don't know what happens to mu schedule after that. We will se.

Never publish something you're not 95% satisfied with. But don't spend too much time chasing that white whale that is the last 5%. You've wrote a consistently good story and I'm looking forward to the next chapter, but take as much time as you need to hit that 95% satisfaction.
