Just in case anyone is currently reading A Glimmer of Hope who hasn’t read it before:
I think it is commonly agreed that the story is in need of some major revisions. After having put it off for a few years, I’m finally trying to make some headway on them. As such, while I try to rewrite and improve some of the story’s weak areas, certain parts of the story will feel disjointed for the time being. Caveat lector.
I hope this won’t take too long, but I just wanted to give a head’s-up.

I finished up revising a few days ago, actually. I intend to put up another blog detailing the major changes I made, so that people can decide for themselves whether the new version is worth reading or not. But it’s been a busy week, and I never got the chance to sit down and write the blog out. Hopefully, I’ll get it out either today or in the next few days.
The revisions are fairly substantial but are most apparent, I think, in the later chapters. The broad arc of the story remains the same, but a lot of the changes are fairly important. Also, the story is now significantly longer than it already was. I hope anyone who re-reads it will find it much improved over the original story, but I don’t want people to feel they have to reread a now nearly 200k word story if they don’t want to.
Hopefully, when I get the blog out, you’ll have enough information to make up your mind about whether its worth rereading or not.
