me checking the dislike ratio on my new story

Glad to know bigotry is still alive and well in this fandom.

It's glad to see some of us didn't watch the same series as I did.

    So where I've been

Okay, uh... how do I begin this? Well, I suppose I should start with the obvious. Yes, I've been distracted. If you follow me on Archive that should be obvious. And if you don't, you totally should btw. Yes, I'm shameless.

Been a hell of a ride, honestly. I just apologize for dragging it on for so long.

Okay, so cliff's notes version of my plans for the year. First off, get a driver's license. Very important, top of my to-do list. Secondly, finally finish off the Wild Access saga. More on that in a minute.

Okay, so WA. Well, I will be brutally honest. I've been stuck on what to do for this next chapter for well... ages really. Here's the kicker.

I've been trying to figure out Serpentera's size for ages, just so I can figure out how difficult it will be to do that sense of scale. Rangerwiki lists it as Ranger wiki lists it as...

Length:
500 m
Height:
345 m
Weight:
500,000 tons

I call bullshit as an average skyscraper is only half that and yet Serpentera is clearly taller. One only comes up to his foot at best. Help. I can't even use the Mega Megazord from Shattered Grid as a scale ref as that's still tiny. So should I use Burj Kalifka or however you spell it as a scale ref?

Also, on PR I do intend to finish off To the Stars, I'm planning to put What's Your Desire on hiatus after chapter 25 is done so I can focus on this stuff. And Lord of the Skies, obviously. Also, I do have plans for at least one more one-shot.

Something based off this piece of artwork.

Based on Gallus noticing... well, this eh? Ripe for pure comedy and tooth-rotting fluff. Now onto more serious business.

Now, the driver's license. Bit of a way to go for me yet, as to be honest I still have to take the learner's permit course, which involves things like a 4-hour drug and alcohol test. Yes, really. I do hope I can take it in segments. But really, I'm not worried about the rest of it, as reading through my manual is... well, most of this stuff is basically common sense. I don't actually know why there are so many bad drivers nowadays. Then again, common sense seems to be a rare superpower.

Me right now thinking about this.

And, of course, after all this, I need to get a haircut and get an actual job. I've seen PonyJosiah's attempts to get a job. Hold me.

It'll be okay bud. You've pushed through night school, you can push through this! :rainbowdetermined2:

Y-Yeah, I got through that form of hell, I can do this. I've learned, I'm this.

If you need to get Serpentera’s size look it up from Diaranger where he was originally from. Then split the difference.

I remember when I started learning to drive.

I pass the theoretical exam on my third try, but the practical one on my first.

Between the two I had to attend four session on driving sensitivity courses and I can't remember how many hours of driving practice, first with my father, then with a driving teacher.

The hardest moment was during a driving session in town under large road constructions at sun down and under heavy rain. You could hardly see things in such condition.

That... might help. Thanks. Someone I know on the Analgram Verse server also showed me some Ultraman kaiju to use as references for scale.

It sounds like a nightmare. I hesitate to practice with my father, largely because when my sister learned she ended up wrecking her first three cars.

According to TVTropes it is only 500 Meters tall. I blame poor scaling during the show. So writers have no sense of scale.

5178542

No it doesn't. Here is a link for the size of the Delta Base.

Also here is how big the Thunder Megazord is. They do not list how big the Red Dragon Thunder Zord warrior mode is.

Yeah, my sister also wreck the car when she started learning.

My tips for starting driving with a parent:

First, start in a huge deserted place with little to no obstacle, an old parking lot for example.

Second, if possible, start with a small city car. They are easy to maneuver, their lower power engin will keep it easy to control and the small interior will give a good reach of the wheel to your father if he must intervene. I myself started with a Nissan Micra K11C from 1998.

Third, I know their are getting less popular, but do try to learn to drive a manual box. I tend to think it's easier to control speed with them.

That.... might be difficult, at least on the small car front. My dad owns one of those crossover things, it's practical but horrendously boring. Oh well, at least I can't wreck his Mustang.

How far do you live from a more rural aria? I would recommend learning to drive on county roads. They are usually less populated with traffic and you can get use to driving. I grew up in the country and when learning to drive staying away from everyone else helped at the beginning.

As someone who has helped a UPS driver for the last five years during the holiday season I have seen just how bad the common person is. Some people are glued to their phones and have nearly ran into the UPS package car.

I'm basically in a shopping mall. Like, not even a mile away is a shopping mall.

Secondly, finally finish off the Wild Access saga. More on that in a minute.
