So then, ladies and gentlemen, here we are. Season nine is over and there has been some time for the dust to settle. I have had a lot of time to reflect on my previous writing. To reflect on a number of things, and really, one of the more relevant things i reflected on (at least in the context of this website) is that well...
If I am being honest, POE is dog shit
It was good at the time with my level of writing skill, but if I'm being honest with myself, my writing was not great. My plans for the future of the story were murky at best and the delivery needs a great deal of refining.
Which is why I will be creating a new and revised version of the story! I will keep the original up as a tribute to my valiant first attempt, and to be honest with myself and everyone who comes to read. They all deserve a chance to appreciate the process, and to chuckle at my shortcomings because who doesn't enjoy a good-natured heckling now and again?
I will admit i am not as big of a fan of the franchise as I once was. Gone are my former admittedly cringy days of imagining that little sentient magical horses are watching me from an alternate universe (god I was such a little dork when I was a kid).
However, what still burns bright is my passion for writing! And to be honest, after reading some rather high-quality fiction from this community (big ups to TallestBrony and Whatimustdo in particular) I think I should throw my proverbial hat into the ring one final time for all the...whatever quantifiable good would be appropriate for me to wish to acquire all of I suppose.
So yea, PoE will be getting a hard reboot, or I might even come up with something far better! Or maybe worse, time will tell.
