On the matter of whether or not Manny is a Displace. · 6:47pm Dec 23rd, 2019
Ok I thought of a way for the whole crossover thing to work without upsetting the story. Alternate timelines. In the story, Gaster states that he searched in multiple universes to find someone to accept his deal. In this timeline, Manny has nothing to do with the Displaced, but maybe in another timeline, he does. Think of the ‘what if’ stories. In this what if, Gaster world be Manny’s Displacer, and his token would be Gaster’s door that suddenly appears on a wall. After grabbing the door knob, you’d hear alternate timeline Gaster’s voice giving you the message:
Greetings Human, Monster, whatever you are. I am Gaster, it’s nice to meet you. I can’t come to you directly, but I can send someone in my stead, if you require company or help that is. Just knock three times on the door, and I’ll send him over, I’m sure this will be very interesting.
Afterwards, the alternate Manny will walk out after the summoner knocks three times. Please keep two very important things in mind.
One: Gaster can pick and choose whether or not the door actually appears and whether or not the message plays: The summoner will be judged before Gaster makes his decision.
Two: None of the interactions with the Displace will be canon to the original story Manny is from: This is completely separate from the story “Equestria Girls: Symbol Of Undying Love”. Though that Manny will still retain the knowledge that he gains from the other world and the original Manny’s world, but not the other way around.
I might also send someone else with Manny, depends on how I’m feeling. This blog is mainly because I do support the Displaced community, but I’d rather that not affect this particular story.
To reiterate: Canon Manny isn’t a Displace, just wanted to give an option if someone had wanted to do a crossover with him (well not an actual crossover with him, more like a copy of him that won’t affect Equestria Girls: Symbol Of Undying Love).
The thing about cross-overs is that they must be handled and approached with caution as it can make or break the story. Best way to go is do one of three things. 1. Make it non-canon. 2. Do the cross-over after the main plot. 3. Make the cross-over happen, but make it its own separate story, like an alternative timeline that splits off from the main timeline so that you can do the cross-overs for fun, and still be able to continue the main plot that your readers enjoy while the people who like cross-overs can read the secondary story.

That’s what I stated:

My bad. It was late at night when I came across your blog.

No problem, I’m honestly surprised someone came across it before I could post a link in a chapter. Sure it’s posted in the description, but I didn’t think anyone would click on it. So how’d you find this blog post?

I often type the word 'Displaced' in the search description to often come across blogs talking about them.

I might have to try that myself sometime. Hope you give Equestria Girls: Symbol Of Undying Love a read, and hopefully enjoy it.
