Stupidity

You ever make a comment on someone else’s story that you think sounds good to say when writing it, but just makes you look like a jackass? I have, and I’d love nothing more the to go back in time and beat the stupid outta past me. I won’t go into detail, but it had to do with a criminal being executed in a way exactly like a man known by pretty much everyone. I wrote some bs about the criminal deserving something different then what was done to that man and wrote it in a way that sounded like I was praising the execution. After a longer time then I’m proud to admit, it finally clicked in my mind “Hey you know, maybe that wasn’t the brightest thing to do?” or “Maybe you’re forgetting the context?”. Sadly no one responded to the comment so I could realize how stupid it was sooner, but probably didn’t wanna “pull the pin on that grenade” as the saying goes. I deleted the self righteous comment, but decided to write this as a future reminder on the off chance I decided to make a comment as stupid as that again.
