Have you ever written a story, shipping characters in a (nonsexual) romance to push a narrative and show your own perspective on certain things through their actions. Even if you don't believe in the ship yourself? I would love to hear any situation of the above you may have encountered. Let me know in the comments below~
Come to think of it, what are your favorite non-sexual based ships for romantic interactions. Tell me who and why. Crack ships allowed only of MLP origin or EQG origin or if you have an amazingly good reason Eqg mlp crossover (such as Sunset Shimmer, etc.) Would love to hear your thoughts~
First of all: What do you mean by "nonsexual romance"?
"Nonsexual romance" sounds like an oxymoron to me. What's the difference between being married, and having your best friend as a roommate? Sex. And by extension children (sex makes babies). That's really what distinguishes the two, because being married is having your best friend as a roommate! Without sex, it's not a marriage. It's a close friendship.
If you're not married yet, and you don't believe in sex until marriage (or something): That's one thing. Because you plan to have sex in the future. But if you never plan on having sex with each-other: What's the difference between that, and just being close friends?
==================================
Secondly: What do you mean by "believe in the ship"?
Do you just mean that you don't "ship them", that you don't fantasize about them being married and romantically involved all? Or do you mean that you don't believe a marriage between them would work out?

It's the differance between sex and attraction.

I'd say I'm attracted to most of my female friends. They're attractive women.

Alright so first off, I am referring to MLP ships. To answer your question I am asexual. I personally do not believe in romance shipping in general. I am asking this for a story idea I have, for romance. Romance as in dating. As in no sex dating. Hope that helps.

You mean a man and a woman are getting to know each-other, to see if they want to be a romantic couple? But they're not a romantic couple yet?
Edit: No offence, but I figured you were talking about MLP ships. And I don't see how you being asexual answers my question. Asexuals, if I'm not mistaken, don't experience much in the way of sexual attraction to men or women (which is not the same thing as lacking the desire for romance and sex). I don't see what that has to do with my question.
Get what you mean, unfortunately I can't exactly pinpoint one I've written for FIMFiction right now, some may pop up in what I am currently writing/planning. The closest I can think of would be my main character in The Fractured and her attraction to Aria. She is genuinely smitten with Aria and, over time, it does become more of a love from her side but she finds it rather hard to tell if Aria feels the same in return. She never tries to force it with Aria so it is still an unknown if anything will move forward between them. Hard to say if it is unrequited though, both have long lives ahead of them so who knows what will happen.

Actually Asexual means not interested whatsoever in sex and have no attraction to either gender or sex. I don't mean a man or woman. I am talking about ponies. Looking for two ponies; male x female, female x female to use in a fic. It is a date fic, one without sex.
EDIT: Any creature in mlp or eqg is fine.

Sounds exciting. I appreciate the response. Currently working on shifting tides...my Raridash/ ScooterBelle fic and got curious if the fanbase had any ideas for a crack ship that might be fun.

Ponies have men and woman. Equestrian English is a little different from American English, they use the terms “mare” and “stallion” instead of “man” and “woman”. And I looked up “asexual”, it seems there are multiple definitions.
But that's semantics. Let's put the semantics aside: You have no interest whatsoever in sex, and no sexual attraction to either gender. Are you planing on writing your characters that way?

no. I stated in my response what i am planning
5162442
No offense. But in that case: What does you being asexual have to do with this? Why'd you bring it up?

Because you asked why romance meant no sex. It means I have no interest in sexual relations so romance to me is not physical. Now this will be the last time I say this: I am looking for 2 ponies or creatures to make a crack ship from mlp or eqg. Do not put no offense in something before asking a question proper ettiquette. Just place two names you think would be fun.Thank you.
