Winds of the Past Spin-Off Story Coming This Week · 12:44pm Nov 24th, 2019

Just letting those of you who might be interested to know... I'm taking one of the remaining 6 unreleased chapters, and will be publishing it as its own fic. This chapter was initially planned to be Ch.18, so it would have come out two chapters from now, but yeah. I'm doing this for a couple reasons. One, because the word count is currently 54,000-something words, and I know that (most) of those still reading this, dislike the long chapters. I learned my lesson after the disastrous 'Days 130 to 331' chapter upload back during Summer, and even made sure to split up the most recent 'Everfree' chapter into two parts. So, I'll instead be divvying the chapter into fifteen or so smaller chapters, and making it instead a spin-off of sorts. The other reason is this: it operates almost entirely separately from the Winds of the Past story.

So it's basically its own story anyway.

So while I work on finishing the next couple of chapters, this will be something that I'll start uploading this week, and after which, will probably receive updates every three days or so. The thought process is that it will basically be something to tide you over while I work on the main story.

The working title so far is Longing for the Past. Originally it was going to be Another Side to the Past, or Another Side of the Past, but eh, I'm not sure I like the sound of those... I also thought about something like, When Things Were Simple, but yeah, I sorta wanted to work 'the Past' part into the title.

(See? Shorter chapters.) :twilightsheepish:

I only have eight unpublished chapters because that's all I have edited, but I'm working on editing the rest as I write this.

Personally as long as the writing is good the length of the chapters don’t really bother me. I am sure I am a minority in that sentiment with regard to length, but your work is good and I like getting lost in the story. Keep up the good work and can’t wait to see what else you write.
