This came as quite a pleasant surprise to me today. My story Tears In Dreams was featured on EqD's 50 + Of The Best CMC Fanfics to Read for CMC day this year!
Of everything I've written, this is probably my favorite. Pacing issues and all.
The original was submitted to EqD ages ago. It was rejected. I took their advice and changed a lot of things, and made it into the story it is now. I never got around to resubmitting it. Maybe I should... EqD was always something I was striving for...
Anyway, I'm excited. This is really cool.
Fimfiction goal tracker and other useless ramblings below.
Old fimfic milestone tracker:
[x] Write a story over 10k words. (my first goal, and my first story ever, actually passed this arbitrary number I set for myself.)
[x] Have a story make it to the popular stories box.
[X] Get a story into the featured box. (That was Sleepy Time and To Change This Lonely Life).
[X] Write a clop fic.
[?] Get a story featured on EqD (Not sure if this actually counts since this is just CMC day).
[ ] Place in top 5 of the WriteOff (I've been out of the WriteOff stuff for ages, but it was an old goal of mine).
[x] Write a story over 20k words. (I need to finish it).
[ ] Fix CMC Maritime (Story I hate with cool cover art).
[ ] Get a story with 1k up votes. (Silly, but an old goal of mine).
[ ] Read every SS&E story ever! (This will keep me going until the end of time).
What does it mean if I accomplish this list? Absolutely nothing! I just like to set goals and see if I can achieve them. Some are to motivate myself to write better. Others are just arbitrary.
