    Some major personal updates

I'll get right to the point: I got a new job! :pinkiehappy:

While I enjoyed my previous work, it was mostly thoughtless data entry and wasn't even close to full-time. I have clawed my way out of the welfare trap.

Progress Report #2, and a Question

Question first: Does anybody know what happened to Swift Blade Productions? I could've sworn when I trailed off that they were a rising audio reading channel. Now I can't even find them on YouTube. :rainbowderp:

    Merry Christmas and Happy Holliday

I wish there was more I could say that I haven't said fifty times previously. I miss this place and wish I could be back to work on here. I hope you're all well.

    Howdy, all!

I'm curious if anyone has plans for this Hallow's Eve. I don't have much worked out for it yet myself.

My age is back to being a prime number today! · 7:55pm Nov 19th, 2019

Splendid occasion!

Some manner of updates: not much new on the job hunting front. Still haven't heard back from the people I ought to have a while ago. Currently seeking out the aid of some hiring agencies in the area. They seemed to insist they could connect me directly to my line of employment, but I doubt it. Will likely have to resort to temporary employment through them.

Honestly have been feeling pretty low until today. Had a problem with my left eye yesterday with possibly accidentally scratching the sclera as soon as I woke up. That was no fun.

I might get back to audio reading if I exhaust all the actuarial openings I can find. Don't have a lot better on my plate to do, other than the two weekly D&D campaigns I'm in. That's been exciting, at least. Wish they had them more often. On another note, we'll probably move the weekend campaign to my house due to some issue with the current venue we're using. I might be able to persuade some people to get a card club going, although our D&D consists only of four of us, myself included...

Happy birthday! That's a great mash-up, ha ha!

Aw man.... I miss being in multiple D&D groups. :( I'm in a play-by-post game atm, but it's slow going.

Take it easy with that eye! Hope it feels better soon.

Thank you kindly, Nines! Hehehehe, it is! I figure the upbeat suits a birthday song, but I had a change of hear about Pretty Hate Machine recently, so it seemed fitting.

play-by-post game atm

I don't know what that is. :twilightsheepish: There are a number of games going on in town right now, but I barely know anybody who plays and don't want to impose. The games I'm playing both had the same friend playing in them.

Oh yeah. It doesn't help that my eyes are constantly bothering me with allergies, but it really was at its worst yesterday. Couldn't read for more than ten minutes without taking a proper break. Thanks!

Oh! A play-by-post game is basically just D&D on a forum or a chat. Everyone says what their character does, but we don't have "sessions", so we don't need to be on at the same times.

happy birthday man hope its a good year

Happy birthday! I'll get to PM'ing you soon ...

Sounds potentially slower or faster, depending on activity, than a weekly game. Much more convenient for participation, although I imagine collaboration is more cumbersome for not having the people there right beside you. I bet people stay on topic better, though. :rainbowlaugh:

Heya! How are ya?

Thank you, friend! I'm hoping for a better year than the past one. Who knows? I have a year's worth of possibilities!

Thank you, the dobermans! I should get back to you before Sunday's over.

I hope you did too. As for really answering your question, I’m still alive I guess.

Thanks. It was a decent day. I've not been feeling too great since my employment situation doesn't seem to be going anywhere. :twilightsheepish:

Sorry to hear that. I hope that improves soon and believe me I know that feel. I graduated college not that long ago myself If you remember. I’ve noticed you’ve been playing a of STALKER: Chernobyl lately on steam, how’s that going? You may or may not have noticed I’ve started a new Fallout 4 campaign. I never beat the main quest line the first time right after it came out in late 2015 for reasons I cant remember, probably related to a massive amount of schoolwork I had my final semester of collegw in early 2016, but I intend to now. I don’t know why some people give the game a bad rap, I think it’s a pretty fun and solid game, I absolutely love the game map and the many real life locations in the game, and most of the critical reviews for the game are positive. It’s not Skyrim, but I still think it’s another very solid Bethesda mainstream open world RPG-style game release like they’re famous for.

Indeed.

how’s that going?

Been playing a mod called Narodnaya Solyanka. I dropped it sometime back in May or April and picked it back up because it was the only thing I wasn't afraid of disliking immediately upon picking it back up, whereas other games I'd been playing I want to be able to continue playing for a good while.

started a new Fallout 4 campaign

I did not realize you had started a new campaign of it but did see you playing the game. I don't own it, but I've seen a friend play it a little. It looks like a very big time sink, although my STALKER mods are much akin in this regard. I think that same friend dropped the game simply because the pattern grew old for her. You go complete tasks, fetch things from distant locations full of hostile things. You salvage materials from your environment and hoard resources. You make stuff. And exploration is only so interesting. Should I clear this area when I know that, 20 or 40 in-game hours later I'll be back in here with new monsters trying to fetch something that wasn't here until I got the quest for it? While it doesn't wear me out so easily, I can see how one could bore of the pattern.

Merry Christmas, by the way. :rainbowkiss:

5175684
Same to you! Hope you had a nice holiday. What else is going on with you?

5175912
Not a lot. I had a video interview that I almost didn't manage to complete because I do so horribly with them, but this one, unlike others in the past, allowed me to do retakes and wasn't video for the majority of it, so I'm glad that I persisted.

Other than that, I've been playing Tales of Berseria and really like the game. Wait for it to go on sale sometime; it's better than I expected it to be!

Otherwise, I'm just really short on spirit nowadays. The pace of my life has really slowed, and it feels like every move I make to push forward is futile. I'll know in a week whether I passed LTAM back in October, though, so I'll at least know what direction to take my studying then.
