    Interviewed by Nailah

Have you ever wondered what drew me into the show? Why I have my username? Who my favorite pony is? These questions and more were covered in a short interview I did for Nailah here on FiMFiction.

Is "Just Want A Hug" Better Than "Past Sins" Is?

My story "Just Want A Hug" reached a couple of milestones today.

First, it reached exactly 365 Likes, which is pretty cool in-and-of-itself. The second thing is more interesting: With that Like, the story is ranked 1,353rd on the site at the moment. This is pretty high up there - way above my other stories. But how high of a ranking is that?

Why "Masterpiece" if I've Done Better?

Someone asked me why I call "More About Time" my "masterpiece" when I've even said that I think other stories I wrote are better. I suppose the confusion is my fault, as I'm not using the typical definition of masterpiece. I'm alluding to the original meaning of the term.

    More About "More About Time"

This post sort of sums up the thoughts I had before and during my writing of More About Time. If you don't have time to read it all, feel free to read just the first one or two sections. The rest are simply deleted scenes and story concepts.

Thank You to Readers Past, Present, and Future:

Is "Just Want A Hug" Better Than "Past Sins" Is? · 11:46pm Nov 7th, 2019

As the story is at the word minimum, we can see from that ranking that there are at least 193,148 stories longer than it. This means there are at least that many other stories on the site. That puts "Just Want A Hug" comfortably in the top 1% of stories on FiMFiction! This alone is already hard for me to believe, so to put it in perspective, I looked around to see how that compares to some of the big name stories that most people in the fandom have heard of...

And I discovered this:

As of writing, "Just Want A Hug" is rated higher on this site than "Past Sins," easily one of the most famous fanfictions ever released on this site.

Now, I'm not claiming that my story is better than "Past Sins." The two are completely different in just about every respect - quite notably in length, with "Past Sins" being over 200x longer - so comparing them directly is strange. But what I am saying is that whatever ranking algorithm FiMFiction uses is claiming that "Just Want A Hug" is better! :rainbowwild:

Thank you all so much for Liking and Favouriting "Just Want A Hug" and helping to place this story among the best that this site has to offer! I'm always happy to see when someone leaves a Like or puts one of my stories in their Favourites - it brings a smile to my face every time - but seeing this really made my day.

It’s short, snappy, and sweet, and it’s an excellent look at an entirely plausible moment in the early stages of Sunset’s journey that aren’t explored much in canon.
