Interview with Snowball

“Alright, now tell me my dear friend, what inspired your username?

Response: Chrimmuh! I used to change my name on Skype all the time, and it landed on Snowball one fateful winter. I liked to heavily corrupt my writing in messages if I was being silly, so I just happened to say ‘Snowball’ as ‘Snubel’ (think: Snooble) one day, and that part just kinda stuck. Snu is Snu!

“What drew you into Mlp?

Response: Youtube Recommendations! I heard of the show, so I kinda knew the meme at the time, and I got the latest episode in my feed one day. I think it was the start of 2012, when Season 2 was airing. The episode was ‘Read It and Weep’, so I supposed that’s a fitting title for the gateway drug.

“Who is your favorite pony and why?

Response: Hmmmm… I got categories. Celestia is best princess, Rarity best of the six, Apple Bloom best filly.

“Favorite episode and why?”

Response: Probably the ‘Saddle Row Review. I like when the characters get to shitpost at each other.

“What inspires you to write?”

Response: You gotta get it out there, man. Self expression is what it’s all about, I think. There’s many kinds of writing, no doubt, but what I personally enjoy the most is when I’m writing something I believe in.

“Tell us about a story that inspires you to write. It doesn’t have to be mlp specifically!”

Cowboy Bebop pretty much casts the right kind of net for me. It has it all, and does it all spectacularly. Taking a character and a theme and running with them into parts unknown is what makes a good story to me. We’re not the center of the universe in our own realities, so writing fiction that captures that idea is very engaging to me as well. You get a real grand sense of a fictional world the more spaced out everything is, and how, despite that, things can just randomly come together into an interesting mess.

“Give us the background of the author! Tell us all about you. Well in a short summary.

Response: Snu is Snuuu. Well, I’m just a person. I wrote once upon a time. After the great wall of procrastination, life got in the way. You know how it is.

“What is one thing mlp has taught you?”

MLP taught me that even a children’s cartoon can rally together enough degenerates to make a party out of. You can’t judge peeps for what gets them to network with each other. Stuff like this is important, far beyond the scope it was originally made for. Would you really believe that we go to conventions and spend hours writing every year just because we’re THAT psyched for colorful horses, and not for the community it brings? ...Bad example, I know, but you get what I mean.

“Is there anything else you'd like to say?

Response: Snu on you crazy diamonds <3

Thank you for allowing me the pleasure of interviewing you, you have truly been a pleasure to talk to. I hope you continue being awesome.
