    Silver Scepter Saves the Story

Given that Starswirl's Wish is a spiritual successor to A Noise in the Closet, I must say the fact that a three year buffer exists in both circumstances can't be purely coincidence. And that's because it's not. The majority of this absence is self-inflicted, but I must say am I happy to be back.

    Hello, It's Been Awhile

I am a little surprised I'm here actually. Time has sure treated me differently these last couple years...but I suppose what is more important to y'all is an update.

To the two people it concerns

I will be going against a thing I said in the past. I will be returning to Fanfiction.Net with my pony stories. It feels wrong to only be uploading in one location, so now both sites will be getting the content and you can choose your preferred site to see it on. (Pls still like and fav in both places tho, my ego needs it)

Bish, I did exactly what I wanted to.

So, for those that have been tagging along with these pointless blogs, you'd know that in the last one - around four weeks ago - I stated that I was really bad at using filler material and just jumping straight into the main plot point.

    The Writer's Weakness

So as is with everything that everyone does, it is hard to do it flawlessly without practice. There will always be a small mistake that appears meaningless in the grand scheme of things, but may be of monumental proportions to the one doing the mistake.

Given that Starswirl's Wish is a spiritual successor to A Noise in the Closet, I must say the fact that a three year buffer exists in both circumstances can't be purely coincidence. And that's because it's not. The majority of this absence is self-inflicted, but I must say am I happy to be back.

So for those of you who don't know, 2018 was an awful year for me. I won't go into it here but I lost a lot of motivation for life in that year, most of which I find myself slowly building back up as the months continue. I have been making great strides in producing a YouTube Channel I can be proud in, and I have found myself reading a lot of MLP fan material again as I just wrapped up a Series-Long Pony Binge earlier this week. Looking back on the story that MLP told I can't be any more proud of being in this fandom and along with that pride comes the realization that I am still madly in love with the monstrous amount of world-building that I've put into Starswirl's Wish that I've almost ended up having going to waste. I think a large part of what kept me away these past several months was just the nagging on the back of my mind that the story makes no sense now that Starswirl is present in canon but I've recently come up with an idea to both restore my enthusiasm for this story as well as do something I have hardly ever seen.

So with that being said, I'm happy to announce that Starswirl's Wish will be getting a fresh coat of paint sometime soon so that I can increase chapter length and provide more lore that was desperately missing from the version of the prologue that exists today. In addition to this, I will be redacting my previous point of Universe diversion so that I can place a much more logical one that includes Starswirl in it.

The story will now take place sometime between the events of The Ending of the End and Twilight's Coronation as Princess of Equestria - more precisely, the period of time that Canterlot Castle is being rebuilt. In addition to this, I will be adding a brand new character line in conjunction with Starswirl's more direct inclusion. The start of this line is Silver Scepter - an ancient artificer, research partner of a young Starswirl, and one who was quite sweet on the wizard.

That's right, I'm giving Starswirl an indirect love interest! Okay, it's a little more complicated than that actually but it's enough to maybe get you even half as excited as I am. Stay tuned!
