To-do list (updated 16 August 2020) · 7:18pm Oct 20th, 2019
I should . . .
- Finish the balance of the Ogres and Oubliettes game, which will end Lectern’s: Fall Semester.
- Start Lectern’s: Spring Semester, the concluding Lectern’s set, with Princess Twilight—at Sunset’s behest—visiting with her counterpart, who’s feeling a little overwhelmed by the princess’s achievements in comparison to her own.
- Dredge up a story taking off from the girls pounding on Cook’s door, most likely based on an idea from TCC56.
- Dredge up a narrative arc for a Rose and Tempest story.
- Cover Sunset, Cook, and-or Rose attending Princess Twilight’s accession ceremony. (I’m not certain, but I don’t think it’s a coronation, technically, since Twi already has undergone one of those.) This may end up as a flashback installment of The Campus.
- Develop the Campus, including
a map of the site, building lay-outs, andinstallments of the eponymous anthology—introduction, a visit to Equestria, and possibly others. - Launch Off Campus, a companion anthology to The Campus taking place anywhere other than the Campus itself
- Finish “Courtesy Call” at some point and find more stories for Inspired by . . . to jump off from. I just don’t have any thoughts at the moment about either one.
Rework the lists of strongest and weakest episodes now the complete set is out.Not do anything with this—it was just a brainstorm, and it’s the closest I will come to a crossover of any kind. As to what the crossover is? Iunno, that’s up to the reader.Captain Sunset Shimmer, commanding officerCommander Applejack, executive officerCommander Rarity, operations officerCommander Twilight Sparkle, engineering officerCommander Pinkie Pie, supply officerLieutenant Commander Fluttershy, medical officerCaptain Rainbow Dash, CO Marine company(addressed as “Major” aboard ship to avoid confusion; why yes, naval traditions are odd, why do you ask?)
I always appreciate a good Tempest Shadow story.
Regarding the (re)coronation/ascension/succession, I think they went with that name to not complicate the terminology, so the point of the ceremony could be easily understood by all audience groups. And she did technically get a new shiny crown !

Oh, I’m sure you’re absolutely correct, and likely it’s the same explanation for using the term “retire” rather than “abdicate”. (Moreover, the latter word has picked up some negative connotations, largely because of the interwar years when so many monarchies collapsed.)
Uh, Dave? That's not what they usually mean by shipping characters.

Well, you know, boldly going and all that.
