'Duelists Of All Worlds' Cancelled · 7:18pm Oct 15th, 2019
For the five of you who actually care, yes, I'm cancelling 'Duelists Of All Worlds'. It's one of my earliest stories, being a part of the 'Screw The Rules' series of Yu-Gi-Oh crossover fics I did back in 2018...and it's crap. The writing is poor, the crossover elements are poorly integrated into the story, and I feel like it relies too much on self-aware statements (most of them more or less stolen directly from LittleKuriboh) and random nonsense to be funny. I can't bring myself to finish the story, but I don't want to leave anyone hanging, so for the two people who liked the story, here's the rest of what I had planned, in bullet point format.
-The cloaked woman in the sports bar reveals herself to the Rainbooms and Yugi's crew as Moondancer, and recognizes Twilight as the pony from Equestria. When asked how she knew that, Moondancer reveals that she's actually the Moondancer from Equestria, who took up studying the magic of Duel Monsters cards after Twilight failed to show up to her get-together, eventually travelling to the human world and fusing with her human counterpart.
-Seto Kaiba defeats Yami Bakura in a duel with the sheer power of his King Sombra card, and then proceeds to banish Yami Bakura's spirit from Normal Bakura's body.
-Kaiba, now possessed by King Sombra, duels Maximillion Pegasus and defeats him as well, sealing him in a trading card and stealing his Millennium Eye.
-Yami Yugi and Marik duel until Kaiba/Sombra emerges from behind the curtains on the stage and cloaks the gymnasium in darkness.
-Marik manages to summon the Winged Dragon of Ra and has a conflict of interest on whether to use it to defeat Yami or blast Kaiba/Sombra into submission.
("Defeat the Pharaoh. Save the world. Defeat the Pharaoh. Save the world." "You know, it's really not that hard of a choice." "Shut up, I'm thinking!)
-Marik eventually decides to defeat Yami and not save the world. Fortunately, Yami has a trap card prepared, and defeats Marik with the power of authorial bias.
-After Marik is defeated, Kaiba/Sombra starts going crazy and attacking everyone in the gym with bolts of darkness. The Rainbooms attempt to use the counterspell they had prepared to defeat him, but it doesn't work.
-Yami eventually shames him into dueling as per the tournament progression, and they proceed to play a card game of epic proportions.
-Kaiba/Sombra has the upper hand for most of the duel, using majorly overpowered cards and putting Yami's back against the wall. Then his friends, both old and new, start cheering from the bleachers to not give up.
-Upon realizing that he is not alone, Yami proceeds to make up entirely new and game-breaking cards to defeat King Sombra and banish his spirit from Kaiba's body.
-The CHS Duel Monsters tournament ends with Yugi Moto declared the winner. Seto Kaiba leaves in his private helicopter, proclaiming that he learned nothing from this, much to Sunset Shimmer's displeasure, but not before dropping a check worth about $10 million to fix CHS.
There would've been sequels to 'Duelists Of All Worlds' focusing around the events of Friendship Games, where Moondancer would've played a large supporting role, as well as Legend Of Everfree. These were mostly in my head, however, and it's unlikely they would've ever been published on this site.
