Q&A For section three. · 7:30pm Oct 1st, 2019
The latest chapter of Section Three is done. I ended it a bit early because I wanted to do a Q&A thing.
So, when I write stories, I try my best to not hold the hand of the reader. I don't usually outright explain things even if they do have an explanation.
Basically I want to avoid this. "Hi, Celestia. remember how you're a princess?" "Why yes, I'm a princess." "good, isn't part of being a princess wearing a crown? you told me the crown is enchanted with some spells."
"Why yes, I remember telling you that."
I just...I hate conversations between two people telling stuff that both of them already know. It's pandering to the audience and nobody actually talks like that. so, what I do, is I drop little hints throughout a chapter to what's going on.
An example being Trixie asking if Celestia's emotions for her were faked too. Twilight doesn't reply, because she wouldn't care about someone's emotions when they are about to be executed. Twilight knows Celestia cares for Trixie, it's just in her character not to answer that.
You also find out later when Celestia destroys her room in grief and rage that yes, she did care. You also learn that even though she truly cared for Trixie, Harmony is more important than having her student remembered fondly by others.
But because of this, I do have to eventually do exposition dumps even though I normally don't. So here's the thing, while my editor is busy with RL stuff, I'll ask everyone what they want to know about section 3's world.
I won't be giving spoilers to how it ends. but I will explain things about the inner workings of section 3.
TL;DR I'm doing a Q&A for section three, the answers will be up in 2 chapters. the current chapter is done and waiting for editing.
How many vampires are there in existence at the time of nightmare moon’s return?
How did pinkie get to be apart of the program?
Are there other creatures/conditions a pony can have? I.e lycanthropy or zombie?
